Thats the process for CPCM. You will only get AOR 2 for ecas once it’s in Decision Made status.

But if youre forwarded to your local VO, it’s different. You will get AOR 2 when they start processing your app there.

Yeah? But unfortunately my file isn’t transferred yet! I want to assume they didn’t inform me of the transfer and it did get transferred to CPC M but i guess that wouldn’t be true

Once the gckey says that BGC has started, it means that all criminality and security check has been done and the app is for final review and most likely passport request. Thats the process from the notes that I got.

BGC is background check right? Which includes what?
When I called immigration they told me criminality and security are being done now. And after that I have eligibility of applicant and passport request still to do. And they said criminality and security take the longest

Call immigrstion call center. They will tell you if it's been transferred and to where. 18882422100

I guess it’s different for every case because I have had we are processing bgc since Feb however there is no line 2 stating the date on ecas. Not sure how things go by but complete silence since medicals passed early March is frustrating

We're in same boat. Medical passed in mid March and since thrn says in process and nothing more. So when I called immigration they said Mississauga is doing our application there because its simple. And that criminality check and security being done now.. Then eligibility assessment of applicant, then request for passport after decision made.

I got an email saying sponsor assessment was approved and that my application is being forwarded from Sydney to Mississauga to be completed there. That email was March 12th. Same date requested for medical. But since medical was dome I have got nothing more. Only found out things by calling immigration.

Honestly, you probably are still in Sydney. You normally do get an email when your file is transferred, whether it's to the local VO or CPC-M. There are a bunch of people stuck for no reason in Sydney (some of whom who also have "background check in process"). I know that's not what you want to hear, though. I'd agree with the other posters that you'd be best to just call IRCC and ask directly if they've transferred you somewhere and somehow never notified you.

Oh I did get an email March 12th that I was approved to sponsor and my fike was being transferred to cpc Mississauga. I have called again to immigrstion and yes it's in fact being processed in Mississauga now. Just doing criminality now. But criminality is so slow to do its frustrating

What I don't understand is how can background check be started on the 8th March and decision made a day later? And then passport request just a couple days later? Is this possible that it's just the dates the ecas system was updated rather thrn actual dates things were done? Because in my case ecas is updated way after events occur. Like passing medical was 3 days after the medical were done but the system still not updated yet 1 month afterwards. I only found out she passed it by calling immigration call center.

Yes I would guess that the dates in our ECAS/GCKey updated differently from when they were actually completed. Our dates didn't make sense. Seems like some updates were delayed (ie Medical before SA, etc).

Yes I did. March 12th. But since my medical nothing been updated in ecas. I passed medical and Mississauga is doing criminality now. But ecas doesn't update to say these things. Not even that I passed medical. I only found out by calling immigration call center.

How can you have background done March 7 and decision made March 8? Thst alone tskes 3 months to complete. Weird how it works

I have been thinking to do that but since everyone normally gets the same response, 12 month time, I haven’t yet. I’m thinking of sending a webform inquiry or an email instead but willing to wait for start of May, almost 6 months would have gone by. Don’t know how that much patience i got in me though!
