It's been a journey, but I've received the COPR today, we are finally through, and now have nothing to worry about. I wish you all the best of luck, and thank you all for your input and help.

Finally Got a update, Review of Additional Documents has Started. Background check is in progress
Hey, What additional documents were requested ?

Im already here in Canada. This was i think 2mos ago already

Very nice. Congratulations. What was the total time frame in your file? From where were you sponsored?

My wife landed in Canada today!!

Woohoo. Glad to finally be finished.
5 months and 1 day after our application was received.

The landing in YVR was very easy and simple. I'd be glad to describe our landing experience later.

Good luck to everyone else and always stay positive.

That s a very fast processing time. I'm sponsoring my wife also from the Philippines. May I ask do you have an idea as to why yours went so fast?

I got confused with the term "Out-land".

In my case the sponsor and I (the PA) both are living in the UAE.

1. So does the sponsor have to live in Canada while sponsoring the PA?
2. Is the Sponsorship Approval considered a green light in this regard?

Hi All,

We received our medical request on the 16th of April. But we are facing an issue because, my wife (the PA) is pregnant and she is due towards the end of this month or the beginning of next month. Also the nearest panel physician available is in a city 4 to 5 hours from our place. So I am not sure whether we will be able to appear for the test before the 16th of May as it has lots of dependencies. We have already mentioned about the pregnancy and the expected due date when we filed the application. I plan to inform of this situation by webform to the VO and probably include a doctors certificate also. Has anybody faced a similar situation? Is it possible to include extend the time to submit medicals?
Any input will be very helpful.

Thanks in advance!

1. You do not need to live in Canada, there is a separate process if you live outside of Canada.
2. No, it is not, it just means that the sponsor is eligible to be a sponsor, so then they begin looking more into the PA
