November 2018 Outland Applicants (Spousal Sponsorship)

Odd, so additional info/docs were requested from me (last month) and I sent them promptly through the provided email. Maybe a week after, I saw the "Review of Additional Documents" change to uploaded, but my status in GCKey home page remained action needed (or something similar).

Finally today, I checked my "uploaded documents" and it was still waiting for my docs. So whatever, I just reuploaded the same doc I sent via email over a month ago. After transmission, the status of my application (at GCKey home page) changed to submitted. Let's see if that matters, I hope processing moves again.

That's true what I did while sending my additional documents was :

I copied all my pictures in a word file and put a description about each picture and print as pdf while doing that you will have an option to compress your file and it helped.

Hello shazia, what your status now on gckey after you email them you additional document? and did they email you or anything that they have received your doc?

Ask your rep to check it for you and if the medical status is passed in GCkey you dont have to worry. but i recommend you or your rep to give a call to cic and confirm it too .

This is the only left option now. Today i called the hospital to check if my medicals were cleared when they sent the report. My medicals were cleared.

I got an email saying that my papers were transfered there on February 7th but there are still no updates.

Finally. PPR today. They snail mailed it to me!!! Why?! They have my e-mail on file, so frustrating. But everything was mailed off today. That was another headache, but thankfully I got it figured out. I'm gonna type up a detailed guide for US outland people on the best way to submit PPR. It wasn't the cheapest, but it's the easier and fastest. Also, the resealable FedEx envelope is super neat and I had no idea such a thing existed.

When did you send documents? My wife and I had to mail our photos to London then send the rest via a Case specific Enquiry. Hopefully it doesn't take long, as we are booking flights to move in August. She's Swedish if that helps, they didn't ask for passport.

Today. You should definitely have COPR in time to move, especially that far out.

No, they asked for a set of photos, copy of passport, and the Annex A form filled out. So I just put it all in one package.

Edit: Like I got the PPR today and then rushed to get it sent same day, haha.

Ah gotchu, we sent ours sometime last week, hopefully it won't take long, we sent the photos and the first page to London, then the rest online

Sorry for the late response.

Yes I did receive an email stating that they got my additional documents.

I did forward my documents by all the three ways(email, web form and also uploaded it) on 14th March and received a confirmation email from them on 19th March.

Thank you shazia, are they email everybody when they received their additional requested documents? Do you came across any who received email like you?

Shilpa, I am not sure if they send a confirmation email to all the applicant who have forwarded their additional documents.


But I can tell you for sure, you will see a note on your Gckey statement documents received or uploaded.

I would strongly suggest you to upload all the documents that you have sent via webform or email in your Gckey account too.


I hope your application is linked, when you login and click on check full status link.

You will see a link on the top 'submit or upload documents' something like that.

Note: it will take a week or two after you submit/upload documents to see the status change to documents uploaded on gckey account.
