Dear ********,

This confirms that your application to Sponsor a Member of the Family Class has been received by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) on 2018/11/27 on behalf of the following member(s):

This I believe is an AOR

Has anyone else received Invitation To Pre-Arrival Services email? We never received AOR2, just that email...I'm just gonna assume that is it. In any case, if someone does receive it, it appears the reason PA receives it is because you passed eligibility and they believed your relationship is genuine.

I’ve not seen anyone mention it bar yourself. It’s good news regardless and you should see your DM and PPR soon.

Strangely I never received Pre-Arrival Services information until I got PPR, which contained a page with a link for Pre-Arrival Services inside the passport request document

Oh ok! But what about that line 2 that everyone has that states we started processing your application on so and so date...i dont have that line 2 on my ecas
"if doesn’t show even after medical results received what does that mean? And If the medical results have been received but the file hasn’t transferred is that ok?"

Hey I asked that question multiple times even in other threads....but no responses...not sure if anyone knows the answer.
I don't know what it means if your file has not been transferred when it should have.....especially after biometrics and medical being done.

The line 2 that people are referring to in eCAS is essentially an acknowledgement that the VO has received your application (i.e. it's considered equivalent to AOR2). There is no strict time that you should expect it to appear and so there is no need to worry if you don't have it yet; it simply means it either hasn't reached the local VO yet or they haven't started on it yet.

Hi guys
I have a question,
May they ask for additional documents after VO?

Yes. In fact, this is the most likely time they would ask for additional documents, as it's when they are assessing the proof of relationship and the applicant's background.

When do applications get transferred to Mississauga? I thought that they get transferred to a VO near you, in our case Vienna. I am just wondering because it always seems as if the VO in Mississauga is extra fast. :)
Vienna VO person here. I wouldn't hold your breath about being sent to Mississauga (alas) -- I haven't seen any Vienna applicants sent there instead (there are at least 3 of us in the December crew). The vast majority, at least in recent weeks, that have been sent to Mississauga have been applicants from the UK, US, India & Philippines (and most of them with the sponsor already living in Canada). Not saying there's no exceptions, but that's the overall trend I've (very obsessively) observed. ;)

Thank you for your response
So if there is no file transfer email yet shall I assume they are not processing the case at all ?

The line that says (on ecas): We started processing your application on XX date.....does it appear under both the Sponsor and PA? or one or the other?

And if it appears under Sponsor only, is it still safe to assume they started processing the entire application? or just the sponsor papers?
I am trying to interpret it. Any thoughts?

When you get SA it just means the sponsor side is already approved, although they don't update on your ECAS(sponsor side).

If you see it says they started processing your application on PA side, it's likely to be pre-AOR 2.

Interesting. but this line for me is on the sponsor side only... not under PA. Still think its AOR2? or just an indication that sponsor was approved

We received correspondence from IRCC yesterday requesting additional "Proof of Relationship" be provided in order for them to continue processing the PR application.
Please see the attached information. I have highlighted and print notes to assist you. I hope that it is not too messy and you can understand. Any phone logs since Dec. 1, 2018 would be good as well.

This is common for IRCC to do if a couple has never lived together and have not had a long relationship so please do not worry.

Send me as much additional proof as you can by March 29th at the latest.

Thank you and have a nice weekend!

Unfortunately no…it means nothing important on the sponsor’s side, just the date they start working on your sponsor eligibility check, which you already passed with the SA.
