Hey! We just sent out application out today! Nov 13, 2018!!

Outland Citizen living in the US, sponsoring spouse to move to Canada! We're super nervous but excited. Hope we did our paperwork correctly and submitted enough evidence to satisfy the CIC! Did this journey coming to the US so we've done this dog and pony show before! Hoping it's a shorter and more smooth ride the other way around!

Still trying to figure it out why our package is stucked at the border since the 6th! It just says it needs custome clearance so same boat

Anybody was able to get it there?

Customs seems to be a bit slow these days. It gets worst as it gets closer to Christmas. Hope your package gets there by the end of the week. Hang in there!

We sent ours from the Philippines using DHL on Nov 7.
Reached Ontario Service Area Nov 8 and passed onto another courier. Contacted DHL and they gave me a new tracking number, and it was combined with other packages going to the CPC Sydney address.
Today Nov 13 it was delivered (status says partially delivered???) and signed by "hoss" lol. So I guess this means they got mine finally.

Good luck to everyone else.

Hi All!

My husband and I sent out our application yesterday (Nov 12) from Toronto through Purolator to go to NS and it's already in NB! I think it would be there by now if it wasn't for some "Mechanical delay - late plane"? Anyway I'm not going to complain, we've been working on this application for a really long time and I can wait another day or so to get there lol I'm just glad it's finally out of my house!

My husband is from England and I'm the Canadian. Let's see how it goes! :)

Good luck everyone!

Hey guys!

Outland applicant from Melbourne, AUS. Been Common-Law with my Canadian partner for the past 2 years & 11 months. Together 6 months before that.

Sent my application via Express Post last Thursday the 7th. Checking for tracking updates hourly o_O

Can't help feeling soo scared about missing details/not enough info etc but just have to trust the process!

Good luck to you all :)

I think I'm spending 99% of my free time chasing my documents. I've got Canada Post telling me it's in transit to Sydney, and Royal Mail basically calling them liars and that it's showing as being in Custom's still... All on a supposedly fully trackable service... yet it's not tracking

Fingers crossed for a speedy delivery for you!

I'm replying to my own post because I'm so excited!

Our package has officially been received by "Floyd" in Sydney, NS at 9:52AM ! If anyone is posting their application this month and you're in Canada, I strongly suggest using Purolator as they are very very quick. This is the safest bet as you never know with the CP strike rotation going on just now.

Once again, good luck everyone!

How about other companies like FedEx, DHL, UPS?

How about other companies like FedEx, DHL, UPS?

We used Fedex by means of sending his signed application papers to me in Toronto from Plymouth in England last week Monday however it took a very long time.

We paid extra for express service (my husband used a company called Parcelforce in England and their delivery partner here in Canada apparently is Fedex. It didn't arrive until this Monday (in total it took them a full week to bring the package here) and the tracking info wasn't very clear as to where it was.

We speculated it had to do with the CP Strike somehow but since Purolator managed to ship our completed package so quickly to NS (in two days), I don't know how true that is. As for DHL, UPS I'm not sure what their service is like but I do see a lot of their trucks around these days so I imagine lots of people are using these alternate courier companies.

I hope this helps anyway!
