Hi there, I’m a December 10th Applicant, thought I would ask on here as I know a lot of you had been through the process. I got decision made on both sides yesterday, a day after after I got AIP and SA. Just wondering what I should be expecting next? A letter confirming PR? Just a little nervous haha!

Congratulations! You'll get two emails, one from your local office to tell you when your landing interview is, and the next from IRCC telling you your process is over, and a decision has been made

Ok that’s a relief! Obviously I don’t know yet if it’s an approval but from what iv read it is! So Thankyou! Do you know how long it takes from the DM to receiving those letters?

From what I've seen in previous months, it seems like the decision made letter usually arrives anywhere between same day to 10ish days after getting DM on ECAS. As for the interview letter, it depends on your local office and can arrive in a few days or a few months (I think that pretty much only applies to the Vancouver office which has a really long wait).

i landed at etobicoke yesterday saturday.
for those who asking if the service canada is open.... bad news its actually closed on saturday... just letting u know.

@Geno.uss do you have any clue what is the average processing time for landing interview or they can take as long as they can ? Feel like they lost my email address or something lol . I might be the most annoying person in this group right now, as others are waiting for their stuff but in my case i feel they probably lost my application when they transferred to London office.
No they won't lose your file, don't worry and you're not annoying, you are just worried, I understand
it takes weeks or months to get the appointment and they can take as long as they can depending on how busy the office is
If you don't receive anything by next week and you're very worried about it then you can call IRCC and maybe ask for London IRCC email address or any other way to contact them
Hopefully you'll get your appointment by the beginning of next week without the need of contacting anyone

All government offices work from Monday to Friday, they would only work on a Saturday as an exception like when they have a huge backlog that they need to work on or if there's a holiday on a Monday (like Victoria Day) they let them work on a Saturday instead and they have the Monday off

I don't think any federal government office would schedule work on a Saturday in order to deal with a backlog. Victoria Day is a provincial holiday that is observed in kind by the federal government. As a protected, paid day off, an employee who was for some reason working on the Saturday would be entitled to the Tuesday or any other day in lieu. They would therefore not be swapping for the holiday Monday.

Then why would an IRCC office be open on a Saturday when they're usually off on Saturday?
I meant to say for Victoria Day example that they work one day to replace another day

Sorry for the repost, but I'm still wondering if anyone else here (non-QC) is still in BGC.

Your delay is not with the background check itself, yours is assessing relationship, once you get AIP then everything else will follow fast

Congrats, I feel so left out I hope I get my letter next week .
I'm sure you'll get letter some time soon! It seems that some offices work faster than others. But I understand the feeling when you just wanna get card and be done with it, but it takes forever to finish this process... And it adds stress :(

Because of the request for additional documents, your timeline is likely going to be a bit longer to allow time for the officer to review what you send. Once that happens, it won’t be long before you get AIP and DM!

Yeah, so disappointed by that, but I guess our officer is just being more strict than some of the others. At this point I'm wondering how much longer the proof for cohabitation request will add to the application. Weeks? Months?

I am also wondering why DM would be delayed for the sponsor in this case.
