Ecas DM on Sponsor this morning! So happy!!! Still waiting for PA side. How long does it usually take until the interview from this point? Thanks!

After getting Eligibility passed and DM on sponsor side, I see this, is it normal?
Review of additional documents Not applicable.

Hi everyone,
Officially landed this morning in Etobicoke.
The Officer was extra polite and super nice! The whole thing took no more than 10 minutes.

I can't thank this forum enough for all the tips and support.

November 8 2018 received my Inland Application
January 25 2019 Medical request
January 29 Medical done
May 10 SA DM both sides
May 16 AIP
May 21 Landing Appointment letter from Ottawa
Scheduled on May 29, 2019

Had interview, they asked for all IRCC documents, proof of residence, proof of payment, and they asked me if I ever committed a crime, when did I entered the country and from where, they asked if my sponsor agreed to sponsor me for 3 years, and they welcomed me to Canada!
Got the temporary paperwork and they will mailing the card between 3 to 6 weeks... it took us around a total of 5 min, the appointment was at 1 for everybody but we went around 12.30 so we were second... OTTAWA.

Anyone from Vancouver here? I heard this office has a longer waiting period for the final processing steps, is it true? If so, how long after DM it takes to get the landing letter? Thank you!

I’m a Vancouver Applicant, I’ve been waiting for the pass two weeks now. I emailed them to schedule me for Surrey office hopefully I’ll get a positive response this week or early next week.

Hello all, got some not-so-great news today.
Our application was received on Nov. 23 and we have been stuck in BGC for quite some time.

Today we were sent an email stating that we had not provided sufficient proof of cohabitation. We have been living together for over 4 years so this surprised me as we had ticked off all the boxes on the checklist and had provided an enormous amount of documentation. It does not appear that the letter was stating that CIC doubts the veracity of our relationship per se, as it seemed to be more specifically referring to a lack of proof of cohabitation for one year prior to applying for PR.
Nevertheless, we then went online this evening and submitted (electronically) another lease agreement for a place we rented from 2016-2017 (overseas), lease agreements for our current and former place (in Canada), shared electricity + gas + water bills, and a joint bank account statement. The system would only accept a single .pdf file so we merged the aforementioned documents into a single, multi-page file prior to submission.

If anyone has experience with this type of thing, is there a typically known range for the length of delay that this request will add to our processing time? The application is being processed in Mississauga.

I get that frustration feeling when I read some comments related to the ultimate goal becoming a PR.... I mean, the goal here is staying with YOUR spouse/partner/significant other vía PR, not the residency itself.... I am not here because I wanted to immigrate to Canada, I am here because it was the only way our relationship could continue, and I love my husband to that point, to the point of leaving behind career, family, friends, property, etc.

I agree with your sentiment. I am actually the sponsor, and was born in Canada. I have been on the other side of the playing field however, and had a fairly bumpy ride visa-wise in my partner's country while I was living with him there for four years. Again, I played by the rules but the government there is pretty unstable when it comes to immigration and constantly moves the bar for several different types of visas. A partner visa was our original plan but the government raised the application fee by 300% while we were living there, thus it was going to cost nearly $10 000 including processing fees etc. and they did not offer an OWP, so I ended up opting for a skilled worker visa, which as I had mentioned was quite unstable.

Ultimately we are both very fond of each other's countries and I would be happy to move back there in the future, but our reason for going through all these hurdles is first and foremost because we simply want to be together.

Hi guys,

I just landed today at Etobicoke Visa Office
They just asked 3 questions when is your first entry in Canada?
Have you ever been convicted or any problem with the police officer?
Have you been deported?
And that’s took only less than 10 mins and it’s done! Done with permanent SIN too just right next door. Thanks God! and I’m hoping for a success of everyone who’s still waiting here in this forum.

Getting nervous lol. Is there still a chance for any issues after Landing letter to have any issues with your application. Cause on the Letter it says London IRCC will contact you and if permanent residency granted blabla. It's been a week now since DM Letter.
