When did you get your AOR? We got ours on Sat but it wasn't until today that I was actually able to find and link my OWP.
Hello Everyone,
I'm a pr holder and planning to apply for spouse SOWP and PR together. She is a student in Canada and we got married in august but we couldn't get time to register our marriage in India as i had two weeks vacation from my company. So we decided to get married here(canada) and obtain a marriage certificate. We have been dating for 8 months so far and have chat and (outing)photos as proofs.
Now as per check list it is asking for traditional ceremony photos. Can i give the photos of our Canadian marriage registered with our friends.
I tried Indian embassy they said they can provide marriage certificate if its not registered already.
Can anyone please help me what to do. and any complications with the file.

Submit the photos of the wedding here and back it up with some other pictures you both have together.

Thank you umarr.cole. We have lot of pictures with date and context of that picture to back up that we were dating. But couldn't come up with why i did not have traditional wedding ? as the document asks for .
You can’t make it up, if you don’t have it you don’t have it. I didn’t submit a traditional photo and I’m pretty sure some members here didn’t submit either. Look your checklist again. I’ll advice you submit the photos you have and write a little note on the side as required by CIC.
There is a spreadsheet in Canada Spousal Sponsorship on Facebook, a very thorough one. I suggested we start a WhatsApp group and even posted my number in case anyone else is up to. I am already in a WhatsApp group from the applicants from June (we had submitted in June, but got app returned) and I have learned a lot from their colaborations and input.
We did not have a traditional wedding either, neither of us is that ceremonious at all, so we did send our photos of our wedding, which by the way, we totally forgot to have someone do it.... Luckily, his mom and his sister in law did snap a few photos!
