Reading the official test guide and going over the questions provided at the end of that guide should be sufficient. The content isn't a lot at all! You can also download the audio version of the guide and listen when on the go.

Rather than re-scheduling your flight, can't you ask them to re-schedule the test for you? I'm sure you're not the first one in such situation. It'll save you money, you won't cut your vacation short, and you won't have to study while on a vacation!

I'm also going out of the country for a few weeks. To avoid having to reschedule a possible test, I think I'll let them know beforehand!

I thought about it rescheduling it too, but the problem is I am residing in a province with such a slow rate of progress already. I have waited for 12 months just to receive the test invitation letter so don't want to risk the chance of rescheduling.

Also, note, I DID inform IRCC beforehand that I will be away during this period and do not send test letter, the agent recorded it in my file, and here I am, yet they issues this letter so to me informing then beforehand didn't work.

They keep sending emails / place for test so anytime this November you might receive.

One thing is for sure that even same office is going random in test invites like i have seen applicants who applied end November or early December got invited where as previous ones are still waiting. No idea why is that.
