Hey don't give up.

Atleast your file is picked. You have some movements. Think about those people whose file is not picked after 6 months completion too and when called asked to wait 2 more months...!!!

Also I know someone from 24th Oct AOR, her file too has no update since MEP..she is in her 8th month now.
She was so furious that she found out the email address of the ministry and mailed to raise a complaint against this no movement and 2019 AOr getting PPR.

Trust me, I saw the reply, she forwarded it to me. It was a generic response that thank you for contacting blaa blaa, we understand your concern blaa blaa, do not worry as you application is being worked upon blaa blaa, and they will contact you soon blaa blaa.

Please understand blaa blaa, extra ordinary cases takes time blaa blaa.
It proved they did not read her mail because her file was untouched and she wrote that. even attached her gcms notes which too showed that nothing has started, even eligibility.

How would the case officer even know that her file is extra ordinary???

I too thought of raising a complaint about the agent who told me the officers in Ottawa are enjoying summer..and I thought I would do that via webform.

But after reading the reply from the Ministry, I GAVE UP..!!!!

I did message Ralph Goodale.

He just replied same thing, eligibility - recommended pass, criminality - pass, security - not started

You can still complain. There is a feedback section on IRCC

Heya! Just spoke to a lovely agent, he said that eligibility is met, criminality is passed, security has not started yet. VO is Ottawa and that he doesn’t see any review required or any comments from officer. And that I’ll just have to wait it out for sometime. My AOR is 28th Nov and background started since Jan18, any comments if this is a good thing or bad? Thanks

Eligibility recommended pass, criminality passed and security not started. Officer is waiting for BG checks to complete. Not sure how long the BG checks have been going on. Could be a month I guess

Why you want the file to be transferred to NDVO? How does it matter? If PPR request comes up, you can still submit it at nearest embassy in India while the file still being in Ottawa

It's not about submitting passport.

NDVO seems to be issuing PPR in a week once you jump to IP2.

Ottawa is just busy enjoying summer vacation.

Never called CIC, doesn't know about ghost update dates.
Was rejected once previously due to PCC format issue earlier in 2018.

The process needs to be streamlined better...why keep call center agents around who just read from the script. They could be retrained and process your files...

They can first start by updating their website for processing times as 6-12 months.

No update on my profile after that.
Raise CSE to find out my VO - Ottawa
Called IRCC call center on 12th May 2019 - No much information received apart from what i can see on my profile.
Called again after 180 Days on 29th May 2019, eligibility still in process and BG Checks not yet started

Canadian PR dream
It all started when I dreamt of settling abroad
After lot of convincing, my husband was on board.

Next step was shelling out money for a consultant
Once heavy fee was paid they were reluctant

Struggle just started with IELTS preparation
Alongside working full time which lead to mental exertion

Gathering documents was a tedious task,
Meanwhile, waiting for the IELTS results to unmask.

Milestone alert
Achieved the required IELTS band score,
which shot up my EE CRS score.

Consultant created an EE profile.
Advised to get medical test done meanwhile.

Oh the pain was till we heard the sweetest news
Until we received the ITA, it was always Monday blues.

Too happy to receive an AOR
Waiting for an eternity to receive a PPR

Meantime my husband left to Canada on student visa
I struggle alone and his struggle in Canada was vice versa.

Just keeping hopes high to receive a communication
Turns out that they never bothered about my file at Canada immigration.

Finally reached the average processing time
Realized that at this juncture i am having a very bad time.

Only hope is wake up to the Golden email
Just prayers will work, God shall prevail.

No clue dear.
I don't trust these agents. Some accepts my email address as verification and dome accepts my husband's email address and tells me mine does not show.
Whereas when we form raised by husband where he provided his mailing address is rejected saying only the primary applicants address is accepted..

So, these people are USELESS!

Yes, I did read up some posts of what happened with Ye application, the whole email thingie. I can understand it can be frustrating.

That's a very same answer I got after raising a CSE. I explicitly said that few agents over the phone confirmed that my application was approved on April 11 and asked when I can expect next step.

The only difference is they said if I dont hear by July 11 to raise new CSE.

For POF - the source will be PF and gift deed from a parent. But she also has a credit card 3lakh debt + 2 lakh personal loan + housing loan goin on. She is a single applicant.
Will she be required to clear all her loans+credit or as long as the required POF is not from a loan, the rest of debts won't matter?

I believe her housing loan will have no impact on POF because that's a secured loan.

Now for the rest, your net balance should be greater than the debt owed and that should form you basic 6 month average balance for Canada.

Recommended pass/Met mean the same thing.

I believe there are many folks with recommended pass waiting for a decision.

Been hearing from few folks who called IRCC and were told case officers are on summer vacation and hence the delay

No brother, Recommended Pass/Met mean the same thing. Both comes from Case Analyst. Different analyst have different styles. One may mark as recommended pass while other as met
