Its taking about 6-8 weeks to hear back and take into account the holidays... it could take a bit longer so not to worry at this point. They will send an email to pa and to the rep if there is oneHi everyone! Newbie here
I'm a Canadian who married a Bengali who is currently studying in the USA. So I'm here living with him in the States temporarily until he finishes. We applied through family class as if we're both living outside Canada (which we are).
Our application was received on November 5th and we still haven't heard anything yet.
Will they be sending an acknowledgement email to myself (sponsor) or to my husband (principal applicant)?

So application received Nov. 5
Acknowledged December 28
Yes but only if you use the information of the Principal Applicant, set it up in their name. Then after you set up a GCKey account and you enter information to link the app, you have to use the PA's info (name, birth date, passport number, etc).can the sponsor create the online account and link the application?
