I took the test at the Mississauga office earlier today. Passed it with 20/20 and the interview was quite standard (took about 10 minutes). The officer said she has no concerns and told me to expect the oath invite 1-2 months from now. Status of ECAS still IP. It was a long wait from IP to test invitation. Definitely extending past the 12 month time frame. I don't mind as long as it doesn't take another 6 months.

Timeline:
App received at CIC: Nov. 29, 2018
IP: Feb. 7, 2018
Test invite: Nov. 9, 2018
Test date: Nov. 27, 2018
DM: ?
You will probably get oath invite within one month. With what I know, Missausaga is always quick at sending out oath invitation. All my 4 friends got theirs within 1 month.

Hi,
Today I contacted IRCC after( exactly) 1 year the application was received. The agent told me 2 items of my background check is not yet done.
1-Prohibition.
2-Physical Presence.
Now my question is why the Physical Presence is not checked by the officer who is processing my application? What is its relation to the background checking?
I would be appreciated if someone answer me on this regard.
Thanks

In my case- we were called together, but questions were addressed to each of us separately. While checking my passport, the officer asked me some questions and then did the same with my wife.
can you please tell what did the officer ask? I mean what kind of questions were there?

Questions would be unique to your application. In my case, it was more of a conversation than an interview (which is what many members have posted too). The officer while checking the stamps in my passport was asking about by job. It's also an extension of your language test, to see if you can understand the questions and reply accordingly. Be confident and concise, and answer honestly, and you have nothing to worry about in the interview.

I am a Mississauga applicant, and it's been almost 3 months since my test and DM. Still waiting for Oath invite.

@French 2014 As far as I know physical presence check is the first step in the application process to ensure that you meet the requirements and only then your application is forwarded to your local processing office. I'm not sure why the agent would point out "physical presence". Did you ask for further clarification as to why it's done at this point in time? Frankly, there's not much we could do except waiting for further correspondence.
