Is FP request is considered a non-routine application? Today i ask for the status of my application, almost one year is passed, thru web form and it say that FP and RQ may be considered as non-routine.

Any thoughts?

did you by any chance have a lot of addresses in the eligibility period? also i'm surprised they called to schedule test, i thought it is a normal procedue to send email and then letter by post. regardless congratulations on reaching this far :)

Thank you! Only have 2 addresses. They usually call, from what I gathered with the other forums, before they send a mail or email for the test info. Not too sure with other people’s experience as it’s different with everybody. I called cic and confirmed it.

What is the test about? I’ve been hearing lots of the ones who passed it that it’s very easy and just common sense. And some say to read the book. Some say, there’s no need to read the book (which I don’t agree).

Final update for me and my family's application:
Did the test on September 27th
Decision made changed the next day.
recieved the Oath invitation letter on October 1st
Did the Oath on October 19th
Completed status changed the next day.
Applied for passports on Tuesday October 23rd. Recieved them on October 26th.
Thank you all for this wonderful forum and for all the amazing discussions held here that enlightened a lot for me during this process.
Overall, we are very happy... Canadians and proud. We earned this amazing privilege. Best of luck to all who are still waiting

Test is quiet easy to score 20/20. Read the book once or twice depends upon your learning speed. Do online tests. Can't say anything about members coz there was no question about them in my test. But it's good to remember main names like PM, Premier etc.
Good Luck!!!!
