Thanks i guess i wont open my ecas till tommorrow. For those who got test invite was it via ecas or email or mail? I am only accessible to email right now as im away at work.I think that's totally fine. The effective date is just so they know when to start sending correspondence to the new address. It's not like you mis-informed them about where you live.
BTW, I tried ECAS again and it took me back to the address update page, even though I just updated address and was able to see my status. I now think their system is in a glitch, and we should wait a while before trying to access ECAS again.
The next step if everything goes fine is going to be an interview, same seniors did when u did your test. The advantage for seniors is waving the test ( language requirements) but everything else same as us. Good luck to your parentsI am getting anxious for my mom and dad's application from Toronto. Was in process since January 15th, and still no progress. Both of them are seniors, so I am wondering if the next step would be an oath taking invite already. Although, when I did my exams, there were senior applicants who went ahead of us, and instead of going to the exam, theyve met with the immigration straight to check their documents, and a little bit of interview. I am assuming this would be a similar process, but still currently waiting for progress.... I hope it comes in this week, as I am seeing people who had their status changed to in-process later than my parents did.
I don't think Toronto is taking longest.. Did you see Calgary? They stopped sending invites for the test. People from October are still waiting..Looking at the trends it seems like Toronto applications take the longest to be completed. Is that normal?
Not one person from Oct applications has received an oath date yet.
Sure but there are some in Calgary who received an oath date. I don't see anyone from Toronto from Oct with an oath date.I don't think Toronto is taking longest.. Did you see Calgary? They stopped sending invites for the test. People from October are still waiting..
Applied from Calgary ...I strongly hope that's the case but it largely depends on your local processing office how busy there are. The office in my area is surely swamped, given the population, because it's taking a long time for applicants to receive invites.
All the best @Konan1982
