Hello, everyone! Just want to say thank you to all of you for answering all my questions when I was still putting my application together and when I was waiting for approval. With all of your help and the valuable information I found from this forum, my visa was approved in 4 months and 2 weeks with no additional document request. Thank you, everyone!

Background check changed to in process today! Do you think ordering the notes yesterday could have had an effect that fast or is it just a coincidence? Either way, I'm very happy to see to this movement with our case!

we are in the same boat. I sent the web form to the visa office requesting the case update and ordered the notes on 20Mar. The next day, The background check changed to in process.

My wife received an email last week stating that they are in the final stages of the PR application. We had to just send them a photocopy of her passport, updated photos, and a small form filled out.

I can't believe how fast it was processed. I need to give a big shout out to everyone here! This has been one of the most useful forums I have been on in a while, and for something as important as immigrating to another country, it is invaluable!

I didn't know that we can order notes, what do we get when we order notes? do we get an update on our application? do you know anything about it?

Today our representative received the following e-mail:

Dear Madam, Sir,

We are almost ready to finalize your immigration file. However, we need you to provide :

-2 identity pictures with the new dimensions (see instructions attached) for yourself and every dependent that is accompanying you to Canada.

Photos have to be sent to this address :

Service de l'immigration / Immigration Section /FG
Ambassade du Canada
35, avenue Montaigne
75008 Paris

PS - The photos received do not meet the photograph specifications

For some reason our initial photos did not meet their specifications, but I think it is safe to say that our DM is positive. So happy this is all almost over!! It's nice to see that some of you are seeing progress too.
