try to email your officer of your VO and explain him your worries about what you sent them... he/she can answer you

but my opinion is that your VO did not just update your application on Mycic that's it ! and everything is ok.

be ok... they are not perfect! they make lot of mistakes

Ah ok thanks, I really hope they just have missed the update. Running tight on time haha

Hey! I'm a January applicant, but hoping for some form of relief.

Feb 4th I was able to check Ecas and link my husbands CIC account. We have not receievd an AOR.

My ECAS said:

We received your application to sponsor "name here" on January 23, 2017.
Dependents listed on the application are: "name here".
We started processing your application on February 3, 2017.

On Feb 10th, when I looked at my ECAS is had changed to Decision Made. No SA and still no AOR. My hisbands ECAS stayed the same, but his CIC changed to "under review".

Now today, my husbands ECAS and CIC still are the same, but my ECAS shows

We received your application to sponsor "name here" on January 23, 2017.
Dependents listed on the application are: "name here".
We started processing your application on February 3, 2017.
We sent you correspondence on February 14, 2017 about the decision on your application.

I'm terrified I've been denied! Neither of us have receievd an email, so they must have sent it by post. But we both included our emails, so don't understand why a letter was sent?

Anyone experience something similar? I am looking for any sort of reassurance possible to get me through the next few days till the letter arrives. :)

Thank you!! That's very reassuring!!

For what it's worth, I received an email yesterday from CIC requesting an emailed copy of my FBI background check. When we submitted the application in November I hadn't yet received the FBI clearance, but have since received it and I emailed it per CIC request.

Today I received an email from CIC requesting more documentation to show that we are actually planning to move to Canada, apparently my husband's employment offer and contract weren't enough with the original application package ;) The request said to include correspondence with realtors, etc. so I sent 6 different documents showing email correspondence with the University that has hired my husband and is coordinating our move, emails with a realtor, emails with a mortgage broker, another copy of the employment contract and some other assorted documentation. I hope that's enough. Can't imagine why it wouldn't be, but we'll see....

I guess the fact that our application is being looked at is a good sign. We depart Australia in 2 months and I'm really, really hoping that my visa has been approved by then. All fingers and toes crossed!!!

The decision is about the Sponsor Approval.

I know that much- I was just worried it was going to be bad news about the sponsor approval... :)

If you already have the flight tickets (I assume you do since you already know when you depart Australia), you can submit those as the sponsor's proof of intention to return to Canada as well.

No :) Stay positive. :)

Here is the January thread for more accurate timeline:
http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/january-2017-outland-spousal-applicants-t469205.705.html

Thanks! Am part of that thread, but nobody else has received the update "correspondence sent"... Still remaining positive though! :) Thank you.

I got the same email today. Neither of us have a job offer but we did send quite a bit of stuff before so it's a bit frustrating to receive this request. :(

Anyway, good luck with your application!

edit: btw did yours also state "SPR's residency: Evidence that your sponsor resides in Canada. This includes but is not limited to: pay stubs, T4 slips, utility bills, and banking history..." at the beginning?

Thanks for that tip. I was only worried that if they see my tickets and the kids we'd have problems coming in if we don't have the permanent visa yet.
