Thanks for clearing that up...
This may be a silly question with regards to the processing time being 12 months inland/outland.
There are VO's that have processing times that are already under 12 months how are those applications affected by the new changes or does this not apply ORRR does this mean 12 months is the maximum amount of time to process

no, the process time was reduced for all of us today, you can just check your region.... for me 1 months less
they talk about 15% of time

now the process times have been updated,

min ie 16 months before Dec 7th application from 22 months,

Thanks for confirming. i had my hopes up..
sorry if anyone else has their hopes up too.

Kitoko90, I suggest you delete the messages you posted that display false information. Hopes are different from facts

At the direction of the Minister, earlier this year Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) began a concerted effort to reduce processing times. From the start of 2016 to the fall, processing times were reduced by 15 percent for in-Canada applications and just over 10 percent for applications outside Canada.

Starting today, processing times will be reduced even further with most spousal applications now being processed in 12 months. Complex cases may require more time.

Applicants who already filed an application will not have to wait an additional 12 months to have them finalized. IRCC will continue to process applications in the order they have been received. Most families who have been waiting should have a decision on their sponsorship application no later than the end of December 2017.

These new changes are expected to benefit more than 64 000 applicants by the end of 2017, and are the latest measures to bring families together.

When it says 12 months, it just means the application will be processed in 12 months OR LESS. I've gone through a couple threads where people are freaking out over this, but only good will come out of this. And for those whose processing time says December 2017, that just means that they are working to make sure that any applications already filed will be completed at or before the end of December 2017. That could mean it finishes next month, or next summer, who knows. The best indication is still to look through your specific thread (e.g. NOVEMBER 2016 SPOUSAL APPLICANTS), and compare processing speeds of those in a similar situation to you.

I got my Acknowledgement of Receipt on December 7 but my application was delivered a week earlier. Does that mean my processing time will be that of "applied on or after Dec 7" or before Dec 7?

What exact date did you submit your application? Mine was November 24 and the next day they received. My sponsor received an email today. It is a confirmation of our application.

Having trouble linking my application to mycic account. I got my account number and UCI.
I tried all the options i can think of and no luck. Im the sponsor and my wife is the spouse living outside of canada. And i can link my application on ecas. Would my wife need to make an account to be able to link it with her email or can i just do it with my email?
Thanks.

:) You are lucky. Rationally, they put your application beside the people who applied before Dec 7.

Please try this combination, didn't work for me but this has helped others:

Not mine. Credit goes to the owner.

"1. Logged in with GC Key account.
2. Permanent Residence > Family Class (Spouses)
2. Application Number and Family Name - Copy/pasted application number from email (including the F) and entered PA's last name. If you don't have App Number, use Family Name, Birthday, Place of Birth
3. City of Birth - I entered 1 space (hit spacebar once)
4. Country of Birth - Selected PA's country of birth
5. Passport Info - Did not enter any passport info
6. Other Application Info - Filled out the other application info as per our application and put '2' as the number of members in the application."

Good luck!

still doesnt work lol
