How will you know if your application has been forwarded/transfered to Manila Visa Office? Got our SA December 20, 2016 but until now we haven't received an AOR 2. It is almost 2 months now.

Check your ECAS. Sometimes they don't send AOR2. If on the side of the PA it says "We started processing Principal Applicant's Name application on Month Date, Year." then you can consider that as AOR2.

Thanks for the reply. I have checked the ECAS. It says " we started process <_____> application on December 6, 2016. AoR 2 comes first before SA?

We have pretty much the same time line. SA was Dec. 23rd and they started processing his application on Dec. 28th but his medical hasn't even changed to passed yet.

Mine too. My medical hasn't changed. Still review in progress.

That probably is your SA. SA first before AOR2. Check the Principal Applicant's side. Or sign in using the PA's info.

We receieved a letter dated Dec 20, 2016 saying that the sponsor has met the requirements for eligibility and the applicant's application has been forwarded to the visa office in Manila for further processing. What is this? SA right?

thanks, wish it for you too

still not finished yet and i'm at over 100 days ( xtreemboarder in 50 days) and my country displays only 7 months (not 12 like tel aviv ) ...
i'm on the time i guess... plus, my application is more straightforward, living together and married got 3 kids ( not common-law partner like extreemboarder)... the quality of our applications and our time process are incomparable....

i just found that so weird and not more when the VO displays 12 months and the guy announces COPR in 50 days in common-law partnership !

i'am very happy for him if it is true...and jealousy has nothing to do here as you accused me ( we are adults). my reaction was just logical and mathematic that day ! (12 months for 50 days)

anyway. i wish that everyone of us can passover this experience that separates lot of couples, and Resume normal life. best luck

If it is by how straight forward cases are that determines the speed of processing, mine should have been done in 20 days. Lol. My wife and daughter where accessed by my VO during my own permanent residency application (they did medicals with me, wife had the police clearance report and submitted every other document) but did nit travel with me due to some family personal reasons (non-accompanying). This was just last year. Yet all we have after about 100 days of sending in application (with a fresh medicals for wife and kid and police report) is medicals passed. Not even AOR2.

Note, we've been together for 12 yrs and have been officially married 4 yrs of those.

All I'm trying to say is I think luck still plays a little role in this thing we are all looking for and if you get processed on time, just thank you stars and be happy.

your application is not differente than mine... this is what we call a straightforward application... the luck that you are talking about is something abstract, yes if the post mail loses your enveloppe and dont deliver it, the luck is not beside you. but we talk objectively, there is two important things that play at your favour or against you : the complexity of the file and the accumulated arrears by the VO

your application will be treated fast inchallah, you will see !

ps: i prefer to thank god, stars can not hear me... lol

yeah, i'am expecting the PPR by monday or tuesday inshallah... i wish to you they will finish with your app ASAP .

On the cic website where it shows how to fill out the forms for permanent resident...where it talks about the fees. The part that mentions right of permanant residence fee...it says it will be requested at a later time if approved...my wife got such request but we haven't had any progress on background checks yet. So since they asked for that fee. Does that mean shes been approved dispite not being notified yet ?

You can take it as a positive sign that your wife will receive her PPR soon enough. Hope they start making PPRs rain agan in no time. Did they ask for anything besides RPRF?

Only other thing manila office requested was the advisory on marriage which i already provided through email about a month ago..so i didn't resupplied it since i already gave it..
