Good day folks. A small update from Edmonton: my wife and I wrote the test today and passed. Post-test interview appeared to have gone well and as per the CO, we should be getting the oath invite within 2-4 months (standard response).

Here's a high-level application timeline:

Application mailed 2014-11-06
AOR 2015-02-02
In Process 2015-02-20
LOT transfer 2015-02-25
Test date 2015-08-04

Guys,

after long waiting, last Friday I received a letter by mail to do the TEST on 12-Aug-2015.

thank you guys

Got oath letter, ECAS changed to DM. Oath on Aug 18. Finally! 4 months and 1 week since test.

Thank you! Best of luck to all of you who are still waiting, I hope you get your letters soon! :)

Im still waiting for the oath... Had the test on 14 July, passed with 100%. Ecas shows decision made since a few weeks, but no updating of details and no letter. Someone else who gave the test on the same date as me has been invited for the oath on 26 August. So frustrating...

I took my test on June and still no news! only me and you and two other Montrealers left waiting for the oath from Montreal who applied in November. I know how you feel but there is not much can be done at this stage.

Hi everyone

I finally got my test invite letter

I applied for my daughter (below 16 years old) but I didn't receive anything for her... should she come with me in the exam day? or i should just bring her documents?

my second question is that they need "All expired passports" i have old expired passport before i apply for PR should i have this one as well, or they just need the passport i have during the immigration process ?

any tips for the exam and interview will be much appreciated!

Hi,
if your daughter did not receive anything then she does not need to participate. She can escort you if you want but she will be outside.
ALL EXPIRED PASSPORTS in your possesion means literally ALL your passports in your possesion.

Good luck

Just want to share with you my experience.

I have 15 years old son, and I had test on 22Jun. Since I did not get letter for him to write test, so I did not take my son to exam center at all. In fact I let him go to his school. I took all of his documents including passports (Expired within last 4 years) with me and still officer did not ask any question related to him.

Thanks for your reply, the challenge is that the old passport is not with me, it is at my home country as i didn't use it at all in the immigration process, well i think i will ask family to send it, hopefully it will be ready before my exam
should this also be translated ?

Thanks again

Folks…
My journey is almost over. Yesterday I received my pinky letter and got the ECAS updated with the oath line on the same day…
I’m so glad for that and wish all of you the best in your journeys…. You will get there one day…. Hopefully soon.
