Hi guys,

I am Novemeber 2013 applicant. I applies under PNP from Toronto. Here is my timeline:

Application sent: Novemeber 12, 2013
Received file number: February 09, 2013
Medical request by CIO, Sydney, Nova Scotia: February 09, 2013
Medical result received by CIO: February 21
RPRF request by CIO: May 15, 2014
RPRF paied: 21 May 2014

ONLINE APPLICATION status: Application received, medical received

It had been more than 4 months since I paid RPRF and emailed the receipt to CIO. However, my online application status did not change to "in process" yet. I received an email from CIO in Nova scotia saying that my file has been transferred to Ottawa for further processing. I think it is possible that CIO did not send copy of my RPRF payment when they transferred my file to Ottawa. Some of my friends who APPLIED after me got passport request!!I did not receive any call or email regarding QA from Ontario government. I ordered GSCM notes. I should receive it in the next couple of days...

""In-Canada" Landing Procedure:
------------------------------------

If u r residing in Canada when u get ur PR Visas, u have two choices to perform ur "Record of Landing":
1. Revalidate the PR Visa thru the nearest CIC office; OR
2. Do "Flag-polling".

1. HOW TO REVALIDATE THE VISA THRU A CIC OFFICE:
If you are already in Canada and have a valid TRV [temporary resident status], you now have the option of obtaining your permanent resident status "inside Canada" - as opposed to "leaving Canada and re-entering at a POE". [For this purpose] Please contact CIC's Call Centre at *1-888-242-2100* as soon as possible to arrange an appointment with the CIC office nearest to your place of residence. (You cannot call this number if you are outside Canada). On the appointed day, visit the CIC office with ur [1]COPR, [2]Original pps, and [3]Proof of Residence. An IO will meet u & get the job done in about 15-20mins. REMEMBER: Wait time for such appointments is long... @ the current rate u should expect 2-3 weeks waiting pd. An example of such offices is:

CPC-Scarborough
Canada Centre, Floor 1
200 Town Centre Court
Scarborough, ON.

2. HOW TO DO FLAG-POLLING:
Alternatively u could drive to the nearest border-post, cross the border, get 'denied' a US visit, turn-around AND enter Canada to perform ur 'landing'. This is called "flag-polling'. For this purpose u DO NOT require a US Visa. More on it here:
http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-di...

NOTE:
Flagpolling is faster than doing 'landing' thru a CIC office [b'coz of the wait times involved].

Hope that helped.

yes you can. Just have your PP with Visa, COPR Letter etc.

Completed my landing process yesterday at Coutts Border. Finally a PR of Canada! Coutts was the most relaxed and laid back border I've seen so far (at least compared to Sarnia/Buffalo/Niagara/Detroit). I only had my current Post Grad Work Permit. That's all what they needed.

Just wanted to say Thanks for all the support on this forum, really the best source of meaningful & effective discussions in my opinion lol. For the rest who are waiting, hopefully your wait is over soon. We have all been on this journey for way too long, but I suppose it's worth it at the end. Anyways, once again THANK YOU and best of luck.

Time to pop open that champagne now. Cheers. 8)
