I think you should apply for an open work permit right away. Please refer: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?q=177&t=17

Good luck :)

Guys, I am a November applicant as well. I have paid my RPRF with the initial application fees. I also send my fingerprint when I get my AOR to expedite the processing time. I have been following this thread and thought I could provide my two cents from my experience.

There are number of fingerprint agencies all over Canada. These are accredited agencies by RCMP. Here is the link. You can find an agency in your city.

http://www.rcmp-grc.gc.ca/rtid-itr/vulner-eng.htm

When you go there, they will take your full set of fingerprint, AOR, UCI, and the address where you want to send your RCMP check report. I went to L-1 Identity Solutions in Calgary. I indicated CIO Sydney (PNP) office as my destination. It cost me $50 and took only 3 days to send my RCMP report to Sydney. The good thing is, I contacted with RCMP and they confirmed me via email that they already send my finger print to Sydney office. And after that, I have not received any other RCMP request from CIC. I believe that is the fastest and easiest way to send your fingerprint.

hi trevor/aanns13,

do you know if going to a rcmp location would be similar cost and time? Why did you choose the L-1 location over RCMP?
Thanks

hi sam yes the cost is same 50 dollars or may be after tax 52... we choose L-1 because its private service hired by RCMP but its a same thing if you go to commissionaires they also do same process.

Haha, most likely.

Also received a reminder email for RPRF payment. Altho, I paid it on May 16th and emailed the receipt to CIO-Cost-Recovery@cic.gc.ca (for FASTEST service)!! :-X

Hi Trevor

Did you send your RCMP fingerprint certificate to CIO Sydney?

Yes ... for RCMP fingerprints only we have to send it to CIO Sydney,, CPP Ottawa doesn't have any concern with it bcoz only CIO checks those docs...

CIO received my RCMP certificates today.
