I just went to the MP office and the receptionist told me that there is noting to worry about. SHe said that my application is going perfectly fine infact thats the best application she had ever seen. she said me that wait for 6 months and if you dont hear anything then contact us. seriously 6 months

Wait hang on, I had my medical done in Jan 2014. What if I don't have PR by then?

Trust me guys you might have to go for another medical if your medical expires. But the good news is that CIC mostly gets things done before your medical expires. Similarly, if your police certificate expires, they will ask for new one. They have nothing to loose.

The clock's ticking on my police certificate and no words from CIC since march. "Frustrating" is an understatement

After seeing how frustrating the wait is and the mediocrity of the whole process, I went ahead and applied for an extension of my Work Permit with the same employer. Also, I booked a ticket to India in December.

It is not the waiting time that bothers me, but it is the extremely poor one way communication paradigm that they have in place which leaves us applicants helpless and guessing.

From the PPR trends in June, it looks like they usually send a PPR on Monday or a Thursday during the day (specially evening rush hour) instead of midnight. Tell me if I'm wrong, guys. And guess what? I'm gonna be super mad if nothing comes by Monday (July 28)
