I agree with you. I don't think my application was expedited because of extra supporting documents. My spouse did the same in summer and the processing time has been average comparing to people who applied at that time. Actually CIC started processing spouses's application around one month later comparing to others. If its really expediate the application process then they can easily ask for these document upfront with initial application , one case doesn't mean it's a pattern .
