You will be turning heads when you land!! Hubby won't let you outta his sight!!! What is the one thing (other than you of course) that hubby misses from Canada? I haven't confirmed my trip dates yet.. we are trying to coordinate with my inlaws and all visit as there are 3 little ones I wanna see!! So hopefully sometime between May and August!! Otherwise I am alright.. just waiting out the process. And thanks.. I quite enjoy the energy in KG.. nothing going on in Pretoria that I can even follow along with!!! So gotta pass time somewhere!!
Hubby won't let me out of his sight lol scared a man will take me from him lol. He's very jealous type so I know he will be grabbing me up and stuff too much lol. Well hubby misses Canada everything about it from work, the cold weather he loves snow. We haven't really been hubby and wifey yet he was here 4 months after we got married and had to go home sadly. I am dying to know the feeling of being a wife. The part of waking up to him every morning, traveling together. This trip sure will be a honeymoon. I hope your trip comes soon enough so you can spend it with hubby. Is there no forum for your visa office? What is the processing times? Have you heard anything yet at all?

Hi everyone! I'm very suprised to see that they are processing applications received on jan.29th and I haven't heard a thing about our application wich was sent on nov. 21st and received in Mississauga (per Canada post tracking)on nov.26th. Would you suggest to call them to see what is the status with our application or wait more? Like everyone, I am looking forward to hear about stage 1! It's not always easy to be patient when left in the dark but we are being very patient.....after all, there is nothing else we can do! Good luck to all who are still waiting for stage 1 with us! ::)
Hi, I would call since they have updated the processing dates. Good Luck!!

There is nothing wrong with a man who doesn't let a good woman out of his sights!! I know that feeling! I also can relate about not quite being a "wife". Hubby and I have not been together too much since we got married, but our month together each year is worth every minute! If things continue as they were, I will be in Africa in August to celebrate our second anniversary! The thread for Pretoria is VERY quite.. right now I do not know of anyone going through. One lady just got approved, and there are few preparing their applications, but thats about it.. nothing like KG!!!! That excitement and movement keeps me motivated in this process!!! Pretoria moved from 27 to 23 months, and we got lucky. We got confirmation that our file is in Pretoria. But it still doesn't help with the waiting process!!!

How did you and hubby meet? Being a wife hasn't really clicked in lol awkward I'm sure it will I can't wait to have our own place and life begins. I still live at home with the famz I got hubby is own place he moves next month. I guess I could say our place as he puts it so it will be very nice to have privacy. KG processing times are getting close to Africa were at 18. I pray we both don't have to wait so long to be with our loved ones. I have my days were I'm extreamly moody and some days I'm so sweet. It is frustrating that we been together from 2011 want this process over with so I can be his wife offically lol. He's complaining saying I should be there scrubbing his clothes helping him lol soon enough.

Haha.. I can so relate. However, Mr M does not let me do the washing as I couldn't avoid the callouses on my hands last trip! He kindly "helps"!! It has its moments.. but the end result is worth it and as Mr. M tells me we are working towards a houseful of little ones and a big Malawian wedding. So I guess that is good enough reason to keep at it!!! But the day he lands, will definitely be a great day in my world!! As for how we met. I was in Malawi on an internship and out with friends one night when this tall guy stopped me. Asked me if I was looking for him, and we have been together since. (Little more complex than that.. but that is the short version)

What about you? How did hubby sweep you off your feet?

Aww girl well help is always good rather than just one. Get ready for lots of loving making as far as I know Africa's love that and children. Hopefully you can mange all those children along with child birth. Wedding full of colour, food and cultural clothing which is beautiful. Well that's a beautiful way of meeting love at first sight. As for me hubby and I met on a dating site plentyoffish. He hates to admit the fact that we actual met online oh well. When we first met in person I was like omg he's so fine loved his smile, his sense of style and scent. I was thinking this guy can't be single he's playing with my emotions. It was in November 2011 we met. I remember he came Xmas shopping with me we spoke hit it off. I still doubted him he never gave up on me. I would visit him at work bring him food. I remember we got into an argument one time we stopped talking his cousin adored me told him he lost a amazing girl. One day I called him to see how he was doing and it has been history since. I love him so much he has changed so much for me. I can know say he's a MAN no woman could replace me. I don't doubt him talking to other woman now.

Hi There,
I'm in the same situation. Our application was received on Nov 28th by the CIC and we have not heard a word. I've called twice and finally got my client ID so I can see on the online status that they have received it. That time she told me not to pay attention to the number of days - only to the day they were at (Nov 20). But as of today's update they are now way overdue!
I tried to call today. After 15 mins on hold someone answered, asked me about my application, then said she would forward me to the right person. It rang and then an automated message came on saying that they were too busy to take my call, and it hung up. Really, they are setting up a situation to have very frustrated applicants! This is not acceptable. I have really exercised patience in the past 3 months... but now I'm starting to lose my cool :(

I did an FOI with Citizenship and Immigration Canada asking them to provide me number of applicants related to Outland Spousal for Nov 2012, Dec 2012 and Jan 2013. And how many from each month were approved by Feb 7 (last update). Waiting to receive a response and then will take it to MP. Not sure if it will accomplish anything. But how hard is it to process on the basis of application received.
I also know that LVO will process it on the basis of when THEY receive the application and not when Mississauga receives it. So seems like our application will be behind Dec and Jan.
I worked so hard to get my application out in 2 days of landing back in Canada, after getting married. Spend precious time with my wife arranging the application. All in vain...

I would be interested to see how many applications were received and approved by end of Jan. This is a process that is not only complicated but confusing and very frustrating at the best of times.

No movement on my case either... I wish I had got organised and sent everything in a week earlier, or waited a few weeks! Either way it seems things would be going quicker!

I already have a client ID number as I'm currently in Canada on a TWP so have been using that to check e-cas.... but no love from CIC yet. :(

There is nothing wrong with meeting online. So many people do now, its quite the norm! I know many who have found the love of their lives by the click of a button. And glad hubby is the man you need, makes life so much better!! Mr. M tells me it was love at first sight, as I honestly did not see him before he stopped me, but I claim it was more like third sight! The little ones are our nieces and nephews, we will all be traveling together to Malawi!! Lots of practice before any little Malawi's are running around!! But yes I am quite excited for everything traditional!! And I was quite shocked the number of people on my side who are considering traveling.. may just be the party of the summer in 2015!!

I am glad hubby and I met in Canada though makes it much easier. I don't think I would travel anywhere to meet a man off the Internet. I am happy you and Mr. M are much in love. Hope to see some wedding pictures when the day arrives. How did your parents feel when you told them? Experience with nephews and nieces are excellent practice lol.

I agree.. and I have 3 little ones who are just all adorable, plus an older one who is Ms. Helpful!! I am hoping to get to the UK (where they all live) for a visit without hubby!! As for my family.. let's just say his family is much more accepting then mine. Which is surprising as his mom once said, "Don't ever bring home a white girl." And yet she tells me I am her favorite daughter in law! Haven't quite figured that one out yet, and I think we all are!! So my family is coming around, just a lot of things from the past make them hesitant.. can only hope when he is here and there are little ones they will embrace our family! If not, his family and their love and support is enough to keep us both going!
