Hello everyone,

After four months of suffering (precisely, 118 days), my husband finally received his sponsorship approval today (March 06). I feel relieved and am now hoping that my VO will move as fast as Manila or New Delhi!

Could someone please update the spreadsheet?

Congrats to everyone who got their visas and lots of luck and happiness in the new life.

Well from your timeline it says u sent ur passport on March 2nd right and they got it at CEM March 5th instead of getting in 24 hours maybe is because your courier in your area took the weekend off

....Yes, I sent March 2 Saturday cut off time was 11:55 noon..I asked the teller if this doc;s will be delivered even if Sunday the following day ..They answered 'yes' so I am confident because of thier assurance. When i check Sunday am it says in Makati Hub...When I checked back at night it was post that 'office closed.'..I was started to panic..I called up my friend who is working in LBC where she assigned and said it will be deliver by Monday..Again I checked Monday noon still the status office was closed..I started to get panic again I called all my relatives in Manila and gave the contact # of LBC...Then one of my relative call me that the del was on his way to Embassy. That was March 5 pm...Then following day March 6 at 5 am..I tried to checked the tracking still 'no office'..I open back at 9 am it is already recieved by Mr Tuballa..So I think they recieved it March 5 and they start to post during office hours on March 6..Anyway, I feel relieve..I just scared they may lost the docs... The LBC are also acting like embassy makes me worried..;D

Well they received my wife's passport on Feb. 10th and still no Visa yet and no letter or word of whats going on, im getting worried now that is taking long as i've seen some get their Visa like 2 to 3 weeks after CEM received the passport and now is almost a month and nothing yet

Same here editsniper it keeps me wonering why others received their visa after 2-3weeks and now all i can do is to wait and keep myself busy.. But im really worried too.. Haay.. :'(

I just realized on my APPENDIX A SCHEDULE A BACKGROUND/DECLARATION form question 6d where it says have you been refused a visa to Canada before, I answer NO by mistake because I was refused a visitors visa once before. Is there any way I can correct this? I am afraid if I don't correct it they might refuse me the visa thinking I was not honest. I am so depressed now please give me advice.

I would suggest that you contact your VO asap with a letter explaining the error and the corrected form. As long as you are upfront about it, I believe you should be fine, people make mistakes and the IO's understand that.

You will however, definitely have a problem if you let them discover the discrepancy on their own (and they likely will), so you need to correct this urgently. Good luck!
