November 2011 applicants

I havent been approved yet but I did recieve an email this evening from CIC saying they recieved our app on Nov/24/2011. I guess it's something...

I wouldn't worry, we never received one but still got approved today, so clearly it doesn't mean they don't have it. Good luck!

I do have a question for all those who got approvals, did your ECAS get updated yet or does it still say Application Received?

Thanks Vankest24! It's such a relief. I can't wait until everyone on this thread is approved, which actually doesn't look too far off given the influx of approvals we've had today!

I can't speak for the others, but my ecas hasn't been updated yet - I just received the approval via email on Friday afternoon.

Honestly, from what I have gathered from this thread and others, getting the Sponsor AOR is rare, and seems to really depend on the person processing the application. While yes, it would be nice to have a little hint that the application was received (I am in the same boat as you), it's nothing to be worried about if you don't get it. It doesn't mean the application isn't there or being worked on, so don't worry Sundae18, we too will get approval.

Though, it would be nice if there was some consistency in this process, ya know?
