I just received the same email confirming that my application has been received on 4th November (Which is the correct date), I wouldn't worry about the letter content as it is an automated letter anyway

Hopefully the rest of us hear a good news soon

It's exciting now that there's some activity happening!

I like to think its CIC's mini Christmas present to us, as if to say: 'Chill out and enjoy the holidays, we're working on it!'

Although I'm kind of gutted that they said they received our application on the 5th when it was actually the 2nd... I know it's only 3 days, but every little helps in this process right?!

My husband and I submitted our application on November 2nd and it was received by CIC on November 3rd. We too just received an email Dec. 14th from CIC confirming that they got our application and that our case has been forwarded to the Consulate for continued processing. I'm happy to join you all and good luck to everyone!

Really WOW...!!! Why is it us didn't get an email from CIC hubby sent our application Oct. 30th and received it Nov. 1 till now we haven't received any confirmation. May I know your location pls?

This is a great place to share our experiences and know about things as CIC is a mystery for all of us. I had sent my application package via priority mail in second week of November and received delivery confirmation via Canadian post next day. I am still waiting for any type of communication from cic. I check my mail everyday. It seems Wednesday is my favorite day of the week now a days

Awesome news about the notification emails!!! A couple thoughts in response to questions:
- Although you're the Sponsor, ultimately this is an application for permanent residence you have submitted on behalf of your spouse, so I suppose that's how they identify it.
- Although CIC may have physically received your package on a certain date, the letter is probably indicating the date it was entered into their system, which could be a few days later.

I'm so excited hearing movement in our month! We submitted Nov 10 so hopefully we'll get our email next week or so

I am new to this website..I send in my applicationin Aug 8 and CIC received on the Aug 9. I got email confirmation on November 7 and has been forwarded to Singapore Visa Office.
