I sent my application on 25-Nov-11 under NOC-1233.I spoke to bank yesterday,DD got encashed on 30-Jan-12 and still waiting for PER.Highly tensed what will happen.

Hi taptatanu,

you are most likely to get within the cap for noc 1233, only about 300 of 500 positions are filled. Your application was received 10 days after mine, so in about 1-2 weeks you are expected to get your e-mail from CIO. If your BD was encashed yesterday, then they started to process your application for eligibility, however, if something is missing or you don't score enough points, they will return it to you with an explanation and refund your draft. My brother is a Biochemist in India and have 2 yrs of experience and got enough points to apply. He sent his application on 13th Dec 2011 to sydney,Nova scotia under the category 2121 biologists and related scientists. He is still waiting, as DD has not been charged.

Does he has a chance to get selected within 500 cap, as when he sent his application the cap was 370 .
how long do you think he should wait or should contact new delhi visa office or CIO about status. what is the email address of CIO for asking status of the application.

Hello jadeja,

In my opinion there is no point in contacting CIO about the status. Technicaly he is allowed to make an enquiry 6 weeks after the aplication is received, but it will not change anything, furthermore, they are most likely not to reply at all. Over the above, there is no point in contacting new delhi VO at all because they will get his application only after CIO Sydney eligibility check.
So tell your friend to prepare himself for waiting and being very patient at this point.

I have received my PER on 30 January 2012. Couldn't be much happier!!!! Finaly, a positive reply from CIO!!!

Hi,

Is DD encashed after initial review of file i.e completeness check of applications or they first send DD to bank and after receiving the DD they started processing the application.If this is the scenario then in arrowsman case ,he mentioned that file was accessed on 05-Jan-12.They found spouse add infomation form was not filled up and the application was returned.They didn"t encash his DD.tHAT MEANS INITIAL SCRUTINISATION OF APPLICATION IS DONE I.E COMPLETENESS CHECK AND AFTER THAT DD gets encashed.Second process ,if any supporting doc missing,then visa officer rejects the file or if all docs present ,then file goes to second process.Kindly update me whether I am right or wrong.

From my observation of myself and others, it takes around 10-15 days from encashment until the per is issued.
