Hi everybody,

suddenly I got PPR today ... to be honest I thought that my PPR will be in October or even in November...
Timeline:
eAPR AOR on March 28
Med passed on July 26
Additional docs changed to We don`t need AD in July or early August
BG IP1 or IP2 (actually I don`t know the exact stage because in July and early August I was out of internet access and perhaps didn`t see changing form NA to IP1) on September 15

I`m happy without any doubts but my feelings now are something like this ...

Good luck to all, your turn will be soon!

Daniyal

Congrats Dan...

Thank you, I do believe that all NS PNP 2015 nominees, who are still in game, will finally get their PPR!

Nova Scotia is a little province and perhaps we`ll meet with somebody from this topic in person, it would be great.

Hi Kushal,
One question : Did you receive PR card? If yes, how much time it took after your landing?

Hi harry592,
Yes i just received my PR card this week. It took about 2.5 months to get it.

You must provide an address where you must stay a minimum of 3 mths to ensure you get it. You can provide your new address by login to cic website.

Cheers
K.

Thanks Kushal_75 for this important update. Please what about if you don't have a temporary address for the minimum period of 3 months, for example, staying in a hotel for 4 days before getting a permanent place. In this case what would someone do?

Hello Kushal, i wondered what your professional field is as i noticed you said it is quite hard to find work in Halifax? My husband works in IT - a lot of experience, and we have been looking to see jobs advertised for computer programmers in Halifax area, but hardly any appear on the job websites .... which worries us! Anyone on here already in Nova Scotia who works in the IT sector? You would assume if the province is nominating people in the IT sector there are jobs for them to do once they arrive? Many thanks and wishing you all the best :)
Hi visagypsy,
Some works like engineering which I am in (Civil) requires that you be registered with the Association of Engineers of NS. They will assess your work experience from the records you have submitted and check on your degree courses to see whether they reflect the Canadian university degree. Once that done, they will advise you on way forward. If your husband need to be licensed to practice, then he will have to follow this process - check on the association website, which is quite tedious. Have you already got the PR status and when are you planning to land?

Cheers,
Kushal

Hi,
Usually when you first land you will be staying short term (less than a month) in a hotel or a guest house, that does not matter because you would not have informed CIC of your new address in NS yet. When you have decided where you want to live and have secured a place then you can inform CIC of your new address so that they can mail you the PR cards. When you cross the border, the immigration officer will explain it to you and give you an explanatory sheet for the process, don't worry.

Cheers,
Kushal
