Hi skywalker
What did you mean when saying that "immigration levels are going to be disclosed in the next week, we might either get good or bad news"?
Did NS announced about any changes
Thanks

Minister John McCallum will present the annual report to parliament on immigration, and one part of this report consists in establishing the levels (quotas) for each immigration program for the next year. As the report was supposed to be presented in last November or December, the levels will refer to the current year.

Due to the increased intake of refugees (mostly Syrian), it's expected that some programs get a cut from last year's levels, and the provincial nominations are one of the most likely to get the reduction. If the reduction comes, we may expect an increase in processing times by NSOI. That would be the bad news...

Hi skywalker,
Do u think everyone who sent his application till 17th Dec get nomination?

When they announced the pause on the intake for NS Demand, they said that it was intended to process the applications in the backlog. Therefore, all applications sent until December 17 are going to be accessed. But, of course, not all of them may get nomination, as some are likely to be refused due to application errors.

Big Congratulation to you Naredont!!!!

Please house, i need your professional advise on the way forward after normination. i am expecting ITA soon. I am quite unceratin as to how to submit my application to CIC, is it a paper based application or online?. Also please how do i get myCIC account? I need help in all these grey areas. thanks in anticipation.

Thanks Ogoza. It's long wait for me. I submitted my application in Jan 15 and received NSP nomination in June 2015. Long journey.

1. Have you created online profile? If yes, you need to send Profile number and Job seeker validation code to NSP

2. Once you received nomination from NSP, you are required to accept it. 600 points will be added to your score.

3. You will receive an ITA based on score set by CIC

4. Prepare documents for PR application submission.

Do not worry. Please send me message. I will guide and provide you whatever information you required. All the best

skywalker who told u provincial nominees will be reduced this false information there is nothing to suggest that economic migration is as important as refugee migration and i dont see how that will increase nsoi processing times

Minister McCallum himself said that it is a zero-sum game, therefore, some immigration program is going to be affected. Some specialists believe PNs are the most likely. You can read here: http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/politics/syrian-refugees-arrivals-could-affect-intake-of-other-immigrants-ottawa/article28961086/

Too bad for those believing the liberals would do some sort of miracle...

skywalker new brunswick was awarded 425 nominations last year they have an additonal 625 this year that is 1050,even there will be a reduction in provincial nominee quota,i dont see a correlation between that and increased processing times
