HI guys,
I am a newbie here and dont know much about PNP..I am administrative Manager and want to go to NS under NSPNP..I would request all seniors here to kindly calculate my points and tell me which stream i am eligible to apply...
Age 32,
Education: MBA from Pakistan (16 Years of Education= 2 years Bachelors and 2 years MBA)
Work experience= Jnauary 2009 till date
IELTS: Listening 6.5, Reading 6, Writing 6 and Speaking 6.5 overall 6.5
Spouse Details,
Education= Master from Pakistan in Mass Communication/Journalism (16 Years of Education= 2 years Bachelors and 2 years Masters)
No of Children= 01

The first step is to determine your NOC. You have to research it by yourself, according to your job duties: http://www5.hrsdc.gc.ca/NOC/English/NOC/2011/Matrix.aspx

After determining the NOC, you have to see if it is one of the occupations in demand in Nova Scotia. Assuming you have no employment offer or previous work experience in the province, the only stream you can apply is NS Demand: Express Entry. Here is the page with all the information regarding the stream: http://novascotiaimmigration.com/move-here/nova-scotia-demand-express-entry/. Click on the "Application Forms" button and read the Application Guide thoroughly (be sure the select the correct one on the list). There, you will find all the demanded occupations, the pre-requisites and how to properly calculate your points. As a tip, I can tell you that your spouse's education has no impact on your NS points, unless if it was in Nova Scotia. The only way to contribute to your application would be if he/she also took an IELTS test and got at least CLB 4 in all abilities. That would give an additional 5 points.

Right now, it seems you don't have the minimum score requirements. Probably, the only way to improve is by improving your IELTS scores. Nevertheless, it is better if your spouse also takes the examination. Also, don't forget that you need to get an Educational Credential Evaluation (ECA), if you haven't done so. The most recommended agency, due to quicker processing is WES (www.wes.org/ca). Although your spouse's education doesn't count points in NS's grid, it is also advisable to do and ECA too, as it can give you some additional EE points and might be useful to get employment in Canada.

My guess would be your employment .... for examples, you have changed six jobs so far and each one lasted for less than one year's time.

another 2years and another 1 year 3months and final one for 1 year

total should be about 6 years plus

My friend had the same issue and he got it resolved by adding the correct "No of hours worked in a week" information in the work experience segment.

He added 40 hours per week.

I wrote 40 for all period of employment.

am not sure what is causing my own issue

... hmmm.... 20k fund for family of 3 is close to the min requirement ... have you tried input a larger amount? say 24,000 to see if it's the reason that stall your application ... remember to change it back to whatever you have if it works though

Welcome and congratulations on your nomination JadeAdelle. Have your already received your nomination letter? If so, can you please share its last 3 numbers? If you're concerned about privacy, you can only tell us the approximate range where the number is, something such as "between 420 and 430". Thank you for registering!

Thanks Skywalker_RT for the welcome. Yes, I have received my nomination letter just a couple of hours ago before this post. The number is between 400-410. I actually emailed NSOI asking for an amendment of the nomination letter. They misspelled my (really unique) name/s.

the minimum for 3 is 18k; but i will put 25k this time. lets hope it works

You might try simulating a situation where they were all on the same NOC, or even for the same employer. I know it isn't a solution, as you'll not have documentation to prove it, but, if it works, at least you'll know where the problem is.
