It's basically a MS Word table where they ask you to compare the duties on your experience letters with the ones listed on NOC 2011 for the occupation that you're claiming experience on.

What I can see from this quote is that there might be some other reason for the rejection. As we know, previously the proof of funds required last year were $11,824 and then later on in the mid of the year there was a change, where everyone received a notification of upgraded proof of funds requirement as per CIC i.e. $12164. If your sis has showed the proof of funds according to the previous record of $11,824 and further she did'nt had any sufficient balance in her saving bank account, as Nova Scotia demanded, that could be the reason of rejection. As according to the current data the POF has to be $12,164.

Further, FD can be shown as proof of funds and there is no reason to give a rejection for maintaining an FD, which again we all know is encashable as and when required. The only FDR'S which are not encashable are "TAX SAVER" FD's. These are the FD's which are fixed for complete 5 years and hence, cannot be encashed before time. Otherwise, all other FD's can be encashed at any time. So, I don't think, it is a case of worry if anybody is having the funds in the form of Fixed Deposits.

Hi Ritz,

Thanks for replying on this quote. I forgot the mention the funds she had in her FD in the quote.. she has $14,000 and she also clearly mentioned that these funds are accessible and can be withdrawn anytime.

Hi Cad143

Yeah I got ITA. I have just sent my application.

About your question - I'm sorry, it was a long wait! Close to 11 months! From application date to nomination. But I assure you one thing. Perseverance will be rewarded! So stay positive. Maybe they'll process nominations faster than before because there is now an electronic way of submitting documents to NSNP which was not there when we sent paper based applications.

Again, all the best

Luder

Thank you for the Kind words, Luder. It's our 2nd draw since we submitted our express entry profile and sometimes it gets difficult just waiting and waiting for the scores to go down. I know others have been waiting longer so we are keeping our hopes up. Thinking positive is the key, I guess and ofcourse perseverance as you said. I wish you well and happy that you're that near to reaching the dream. Thanks for all the help :D

Got a direct ITA on the last draw.
But from the spreadsheet, it seems her score are 417. Was there any change in her CRS score?

I still don't find any reason for a rejection straight for maintaining the funds in the form of FD, until and unless you are showing a bank certificate that the funds in FD are encashable as and when required. One thing is obvious, nobody keeps such high networth amount in open accounts owing to fraudulent cases, that can happen either by way of debit or credit cards or online transactions. So, if somebody wants to keep the funds for longer period in a safe way, most of the times they keep that in the form of FD's. I don't know what happened with your sister case, well sorry to hear that. But I am sure if she is showing her funds as FD even if she does not maintain enough funds in saving account, it wont have any effect. What CIC demands is to show proper required funds which can taken be off as and when desired.

@Ritawallul: Is mutual fun(Ulip -LIC) can aslo be shown?
Hi stephny,

Personally I feel that the Visa officer will not consider mutual funds or shares as financial proofs as markets trends are not fixed. Their value can vary by the day or by the hour even. So, there is likelihood that it might not be accepted. But there is no harm in adding these docs as your proof of finance. Though, do not consider them to be your primary docs. They can just be add-ons.

Ritz.

Eventually, I got AOR from NS by today. I am 8 OCT 2015 Applicant.

Snapshot of the email I got:

One of the steps required in the nomination process for Nova Scotia Demand: Express Entry is for you to be registered in Express Entry with Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada. To confirm that you have done so please e-mail this office, nsnp@novascotia.ca , with your valid Express Entry Profile Number and Job Seeker Validation Code. For your intended occupation in Nova Scotia, using the table below, directly compare your work experience for each of your jobs in the last 10 years to the lead statement of the occupation description in the NOC 2011, including all of the essential duties and most of the main duties listed. To help you with your search, go to the following website and insert the NOC code under quick search: http://www5.hrsdc.gc.ca/NOC/English/NOC/2011/Welcome.aspx
