As you said that your friend has 66 point , Well there is no loss to apply but how your friend will make express entry profile? because to make express entry profile applicant must full fill one program at least FSW or FST or PNP. I will suggest to apply only if your frd has option to increase 1 point either from IELTS or Spouse IELTS

He is eligible for Express entry. He has already submitted his profile. But, he got 66 points in Nova application. My question is , do they accept 66 points instead of 67 ? any previous experience with that . Thanks.

NS has a whole different point system to apply, I suggest your friend to check the Guide on NS website.
It indicates that you will have to get 67 points UNDER NS POINTS SYSTEM.
Anyway, you may be eligible to create EE profile once you can get 67 points under FSW.
But remember, NS and EE and even FSW are using different point system.

Thanks Kelfin and Miu and others. He was qualified fro FSW 2014 and got 5 points extra for having an uncle in Canada which made his score 71. For Nova, the guide tells about a relative in Nova Scotia which is different. This lowered his score to 66. Don't you think he might get a petition because he is short of only one point ? So, Do I advise him not to apply because he got 66 and not 67 ? I want to give him a sincere advise.

This probably can only be answered by NSNP. But my take on this situation is, an uncle in other province is actually a disadvantage, as the candidate might not want to stay in Nova Scotia.

Hi,

am late joiner of this thread, can anyone please tell whats applicants limit (how many applications they will take) of NSNP?

I am having 69 points as

Education 23 points
Ability in English 19 points
Work experience 15 points
Age 12 points
Total marks: 69 Points

I left only thing is proof of fund as currently invested and cant show...so if i start making bank statement from this week and apply after 3 months then any chances before (if there is any)cap reached?

Appreciate your expert opinions?

I have an important question which may work for all guys. could you please write about the provinces and territories of interest that you specify in your EE profile. Just Nova Scotia or all where. Do you think it can affect their view about our intention to stay in NS and make them doubtful about our settlement plan if we specify all provinces and territories or somewhere with NS in our EE profile? I don't want to lose my chance of other provinces in EE but I'm worried about NS officers when they view my EE profile. Specifically please guys received pre screen email answer my question. Thanks in advance ???

Actually the uncle lives in Quebec. My friend family language is English and this info can be stated clearly in application.Apart from that, acording to your knowledge and experience forumites, do they consider 66 points in this case ? Or if he gets higher points in Ielts, can he submit that after submitting his application ? after receiving AOR . Any views please.

No, your friend is not able to apply for NSNP because his points is less than 67.

You can select all provinces in EE...since it is a federal program and not specific to any province.....No harm in this.
