This a very common scenario. Take my case, for example, I am a game developer - applied under NOC 2174 (Interactive Media Developers). However, my employment documents designate me as a Software Engineer (NOC 2173). To get over this, I had my Employment Reference Letters prepared with this details included --

NOC: 2174
Designation: Software Engineer (in the role of Game Programmer)

That probably should have taken care of any confusion, since till date, no one has ever questioned that aspect.

That is not a bad idea. The NS Officer usually asks to provide all the documents presented to them in the Nomination phase onward to the CIC as well during the PR application process. You can ask them whether they meant to include that NOC Match Spreadsheet as well. And if so, whether you can send it as a CSE now.

[PS: Personally, I have not sent that spreadsheet. If you do find out, we need to send it, then I will send it as a CSE as well. My AOR is just after you - 28th Dec.]

ok marvelmagnum i am planing to send a mail to the officer. I will let you know if he replies.... sometimes when a this kind of doubts arise then it becomes very difficult to deal with.... Lets see

i sent a short explanation to Nova Scotia while asked to fill up the 'Table' and the explanation was about my Job Title which does not match with the NOC but my duties match. So i feel that i should send the same Table and explanation to CIC also...

Hi Tara:

I think you should send the noc table as it should answer any questions. I believe that it's a good document to use as it has already been validated by NS. When I completed my table NS actually sent it to my employer to ask them to confirm it was true. I learnt of this because the Signatory on my letter, who also, responded with the confirmation informed me and also read their email to me along with the response she provide them.

Based on this I and the notes I received from NS in email showing my job duties had been verified, I believe the table should be enough.

As far as I know the admin only can edit excel sheet!

Good news! Received an e-mail from the Canadian Consulate in Brazil with request for passports! \o/

Just under 6 months! 5 months and 20 days to be precise. EE have not failed on me

So here's my updated status:

Application sent/received by NS Office of Immigration: 12/01/2015 - 14/01/2015
NSNP AOR: 03/04/2015
NSNP ADDITIONAL documents requested-provided: 04/06/2015 - 16/06/2015
NSNP Nomination: 23/06/2015

Application/AOR for CIC: 22/07/2015
CIC ADDITIONAL documents requested-provided: 31/07/2015 - 03/08/2015

Medicals passed: 08/10/2015
Background check started: 10/10/2015 - in progress

Request for passports: 14/01/2016


And like most said, it would happen: Although they requested the passwords, there's still no change on myCIC page. "Background check" and "Final decision has been reached" is still "In progress".


Some admin can update my status on the spreadsheets so others have a better idea of the timelines?

Hi Victor and all friends who have either received PR or have an ITA,

I have received my ITA in dec15 and have provided all docs, my current status is under review and medicals passed..

I provided form 4 when requested for additional docs..is 4a also applicable to be uploaded?? I don't think so, but the mycic is still showing an additional doc required, which is 4a and last date is showing g 18.02.2016.

What should I do?? Do I need to upload it anyhow, not withstanding that it's not applicable to me??
