Hello people, I have received my ITA on Oct 23rd, and applied on February. Currently I'm gathering some docs to send. My wife is really nervous and she asked me to ask here if everything must be done electronically, I mean uploading these docs through My CIC account. I told her that everything is being done through this account and we do not need to send anything by courier unless we were being told to, right? but as I said, she is really nervous and she doesn't want to miss a tiny little detail. Also, we need to take our medical exams, but in the hospital they say we need some papers from the embassy in order to take our exams. I think they are not updated on how the Express Entry System works, but just to be sure, I'm writing here looking for answers. Thanks in advance for the help
Hi There.. everything is done through your MY CIC account.. its a step by step process and you will need to finish them in sequence to move on.

Go to cic.ca and search for what called "Up Front Medical Exam" centers in your country and then give them a call.. nothing will be sent from the embassy nor the authorities in canada.. you have to go and to do it yourself and then they will send online to Canada based on your Name & Passport # (this is the only link I guess).

Next to each docs there is clear description on what and how to make this docs so follow the rules..

that all what can i say now.. good luck..

Hi MaverickJo,

Need a bit of help. I think I was browsing on this thread and found out someone has shared settlement plan reference/document link of CIC webpage. Correct me if I am wrong. But can you please tell me if you have the link? also can you give me a bit of guidance on writing settlement plan for NSNP? just some pointers.

Hi Sameer, Dont know regarding the link, the settlement issue has been discussed many times in this thread but since you asked:

You need to explain what will you do when you reach NovaScotia .. in a way that officer understands that you've done a search and the plan is clear for you. do some search & get more details of where likely you will be living, schools if you have kids...etc

Dont have to be so complicated rather than honest (In my opinion).

that's it.. g.Luck

As of now, they are processing files received until March 9th. The last nominations were given to late February candidates. You can check the status of the queue on this spreadsheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1VSlrGd5WYHoElg75K9te3CXyuyw-1RudhWxIb4h2tdI/edit#gid=878787901

By the way, we would appreciate your collaboration with our database, by also inserting your data on the spreadsheet. You can do it on this link: http://goo.gl/forms/CgcEWkIgrk

Hi All,

As you already know I am applying for NSPNP. I am about to gather evidence regarding banks. The NSPNP Application guide states that:-

--> Letter from financial institutions indicating the balance and transactional history for the last three months.

--> Financial institutions’ statements demonstrating access to transferable, liquid funds and assets.

So if I ask bank for:-

1. Separate letter-head Balance Certificate
2. Three months' bank-stamped bank statements,

Would it suffice the purpose?

What does it mean exactly when it says: Letter from financial institutions indicating the balance and transactional history for the
last three months.

I mean the balance certificate should also mention transactional history? That can also be covered under bank-stamped statements? Then why do they need it in balance certificate? Or I am misunderstanding?

Please do let me know.

Thank you all for your help. Apparently, I am the only person who has been invited to apply under Express Entry here in Cuba. Yesterday I went to the Panel Physician in charge of doing the medical exams and I can't take them without any order from the Embassy. It seems that they have not updated the system or something. I went to the embassy and explained my problem and now they will write to Canada looking for answers on my case. I have now 55 days left to submit the documents. Really worried, things here relating immigration are REEEAAAALLYYYYY SLOOOOOOWWWWW. Hoping for the bes.... ???

from jan 16 ....NOVA SCOTIA PNP to go online and PNP will be awarded to individuals with highest score. it will not be on first come first serve basis.

This information is per the immigration seminar held on 26th Oct in NS
I have been looking for some information regarding that and found some related news, such as this: http://www.cbc.ca/m/news/canada/nova-scotia/topstories/nova-scotia-immigration-summit-hosted-by-lena-diab-1.3288418

They are definitely implementing an online system until the end of this year, although there is no mention about the system changing from queue to rank-based. Do you have a link providing more details about that? If not, do you know which ranking system are they going to use? I mean, if it is the current NS Demand points grid, the actual EE score, or even some new system, such as the one used by Manitoba?

Nevertheless, I don't believe they are going to scrap the current paper-based applications. It is more likely they will stop accepting new applications on the old system, but remain processing them until the end of the current queue. At the same time, it is possible new applications are processed in parallel, maybe with different requirements than the current stream. That might mean old applications are delayed, as preference is given to the new online ones.

It is probably too early to speculate, but at least we can hope for good news, as Minister Lena Diab will pledge for a much higher intake cap for Nova Scotia, maybe even reaching the standard 5500 given to larger provinces. As the new Prime-Minister is politically aligned with NS government, she might succeed in her plea...

Hi All,

In the Nova Scotia Demand: Express Entry guide its stated that:-

"highly skilled individuals who wish to live in the Province of Nova Scotia permanently and either have a permanent full-time job offer from a Nova Scotia employer or have a reasonable ability to attach quickly to Nova Scotia’s labour market."

I do not have any job offer.

However I am getting 67/100 points with zero adapability points.

Will they have this reason to reject my application? or not? Please do let me know.

Nothing to stress about here...if you've already received an ITA then your score is probably pretty high. If things are taking too long and you don't think you'll have enough time to get your documents in, just decline your ITA and see where you are during the next round. Unless your score is borderline (e.g. 450-500) chances are you'd have enough points to continually get an invite if you must decline. What's your score?

There's a reason they use OR there. You don't have to have a job offer...but whether you're nominated will also depend on how they feel about the rest of your application. The best thing to do would just be to apply and see how it goes. 8)
