I registered to their website in order to start the Express Entry application. But au this moment, they have links to start only two types of applications:

- Nova Scotia Experience: Express Entry
- Skilled Worker

Skilled Worker category requires job offer.

Will we see another link on that page for 'Express Entry without job offer" when the intake starts?

Hello guys,

need your advise please.

1.I am currently on a closed work permit and it expires in june 2016. I worked for 11 months and 11 days in nova scotia and my employment ends in next couple of days. will I be eligible for NSNP under experience express entry? Do you know if they approve my application if my canadian experience is less than 12 months but if I complete the required 1560 hours?

2.My closed work permit is valid till June 30. But my employer wants me to move to offshore and I cannot complete my 1 year in Nova scotia. Is there a way to get open work permit? My wife has open work permit also valid till june 2016. Shall I take the risk of resigning from this company. In that case, will I get my unemployment benefits from government? can you please suggest me some advise?

3. If my wife applies for study permit, will I get open work permit soon?

Does anyone here know where Nova Scotia Immigration currently stands (approximately) on their backlog of provincial nomination applications?

I mailed my paper application for a nomination in Oct 2015 under Nova Scotia Demand. Trying to find out if they've gotten to the October applicants yet...? Haven't heard from them yet, and PNP is my only hope!!

They are, but not for the NS Demand stream.
