Another question is, this birth certificate of yours, is it the one from the government or from hospital where u were born. Cic only accept birth certificate from the government.

U need to cross check all this before sending your app again to cic.

Birth Certificate was issued by the government with goverment seal. Correct date of birth, parent names, location etc. The only thing I can think of again are the extra middle names on the birth certificate that I really never used and not on any other documents including my passport.

Example My cert says - John Doe Davis Gary Dean
Pasport and other documents say - John Doe Dean (the Davis and Gary were dropped, and have been dropped since I can remember.

You make a very good point. I did not put the other names on form 0008. Those other names never got on any of my official documents. I never used them - I submitted my transcripts, US work permit, visa, drivers license..but i guess they check against the IM0008 form. Good clue

I think evenly gave you right clue. Birth certificate is your official document so you cannot say that you never used them. I think you have to use other name field and give them reason letter about your name with proof that you have.

Could you confirm that what is the way to know DD in cash ?

I have my passport attached, they didn't have a problem with that. I reckon it cannot replace a BC

I think it will be great for you if you able to get new BC . How did you come to know there is probl with your BC ? Is they provide any letter with your return application

The letter said - your application is being returned because no BC attached for primary applicant. My BC was attached!!!. My initial thinking was that someone did not do their Job and just check!. Instead of repackaging and sending back, I then started to think maybe I need to look more closely. The ONLY thing I can come up with assuming that my assumption that the BC was NOT missed was the fact that two extra middle names that I had dropped since after birth were on my BC BUT not on all other docs and passport. So I'm being very cautious. No other explanation besides BC missing was given and it was there!. I want to cover my basis I have missed 40 days

Had they also returned your application fee or it was encashed.
& what abt your dependent. did your provide B.C for her/him?

Yeah I wasn't very pleased seeing the package. In the letter, they stated that my application was NOT processed and no record of it has been made. They returned everything including my CC receipt - and said I have not be charged. The thing about CC payment is that you prepay and send them the receipt so you're payed up before you send you r app.

I do not have any dependents. Just me - single applicant.

I called CIC today. The lady said it is possible that the Birth cert was missed all together
