Nova Scotia or New Brunswick: A dilemma

Hi
My wife and I have been wanting to emmigrate to Canada for a while. Having visited both Vancouver & Toronto we decided that either of those great cities would be a good place to relocate. However, the more we researched we found that because of the cost of housing, amongst other things, it might not be the best idea. We went to an Emigrate show recently and saw a seminar, plus spoke to representatives, from the Maritimes area of Canada. They were very positive about their home provinces and we thought that either New Brunswick or Nova Scotia would be good places to look for work and hopefully try for the PNP.
We are planning a fact finding trip in October but we only have time and funds to visit one of those provinces. The province we visit we would look to try and immigrate there. So, we're wondering which to go for? Are there any people out there who are looking at or have experience at emmigrating to either of those provinces? A couple of points: I'm a digital video editor, my wife works for a housing advice charity. Another big point is that we both don't drive, so we'd be looking at the bigger cities or towns with public transport. We will hopefully learn to drive eventually, I can't imaging we'd get too far (literally) not driving in Canada for too long!
Thanks and sorry for rambling!

Hello,

My two cents, research the net first, there is a lot of pages avaliable. Read, ask questions, look at pictures, see job prospects and so on, make phone calls. As video editor, your best bet is on provinces where the film making industry has more presence.

For mobility, the bigger the city the more options you will have but make drive learning your main priority or you will just waste your time in Canada, job hunting on public weels can be an expensive disaster.

Also, consider this: Only you going, you already mentioned your financial concern. Be realist, two cost more then one, is less food, less travel costs to and in Canada, cheaper hotel, less distraction from your main porpuse, etc.. Remember, this "sacrifice" will give you resources to double your staying and expand your radious of research. There will allways be time for leasure, now is a future at stake.

Good luck.
