I am a nurse, and I have applied for the nova Scotia pathway for nurses, I am yet to get a reply even though it's been more than two months, how long is it going to take for the process?

I don’t know of any program specific to nurses only the healthcare professionals pilot. They sent out letters of interest in April. It says only those who received a letter of interest can participate. So did you apply through this program and you were not eligible?

What type of nurse? For example in Canada we have licensed practical nurse, registered nurse and nurse practitioner which all require different lengths of training Where are you from and did you train in the same country? How long was your nursing training and was this after completing secondary school?

You’ll need to speak to the licensing body in Nova Scotia about the licensing process. Healthcare is run by each province so they each have their own requirements. The Eastern provinces (the Maritimes) are especially in need of nurses because of an older population than most of Canada. Unfortunately the process is slow for both immigration and licensing so it is not surprising that you haven’t heard from anyone in 2 months. There is an effort to make licensing for foreign trained nurses easier because it has been long and difficult.Have you been working in a large hospital in Pakistan?
