Nova Scotia Experience Express Entry: Obligation to stay in Province?

Hi All:

I know there have been a few discussions around this topic, however the last few have been a bit outdated.

I have a few questions regarding this and would love some constructive feedback/input.

Here goes:

I came to Nova Scotia in 2008 to attend University and have been here since then (with the exception of 2014-2015 where I was in Alberta and moved back).

I applied for a Provincial Nomination under the NS Experience Express Entry back in March 2016. My PR application has been processed and I've recently received my Passport Request from CIC (thank god).

My current employer would like to give me a promotion, however I would have to relocate to their head office in Montreal, Quebec to take up my new position.

My question is:

- Given that I've lived and settled in Nova Scotia for 7 years (prior to PR), would I face any issues later down the line (when i apply for citizenship) for moving to Quebec shortly after getting my PR under the NS PNP? I am aware that there is no stipulated time to remain in the province, and that a PR is legally allowed to live and work in any province, but given that I applied for the NS PNP under the premise that I would settle in NS might throw some red flags later down the road?

- Anyone on here every went through this? i.e. Lived in a province for a long time prior to PR, got the nomination and PR and then moved to a different province shortly after?

I feel like this may be more of an issue for individuals who have never landed in canada before. If you're coming to canada for the first time as a PR (under PNP) and the CBSA officer has reason to believe you do not intend to settle in the province of your nomination, then they could possibly refuse you entry based on misrepresentation.

Again, any feedback is greatly appreciated.

Thanks to all of you on here who've contributed to this forum thus far, its been a great help!

Cheers,

- Mac

hi mdeterville,
for me I don't think this poses any challenges at all.your case is quite clear and. straightforward. There is no case of misrepresentations from the beginning.just keep a copy of your promotion letter and request from your office to relocate handy.you may need it when filling y for citizenship.
