Nov 2009 applicant

Dear all

i have sent my first step of application forms on 25 Nov 2009 to CIO.
I have still received no reply, will they reply through e-mail or will they send a confirmation by post ?
as i am worried it might be sent through e-mail and i might have missed it.
please advise.
