Hi all

Currently I am living in another country, and i had just received my AOR and it will take around 4-5 years to process. I'm thinking whether i should currently switch my citizenship to the present country i'm staying in (it will take 6 months to process).

So my questions are..
1) should i notify CIC when I have changed my citizenship to another country?
2) will changing my citizenship to another country affect my PR application to canada? I still want to migrate to canada..because it's a great country. Thnx.

1. If you applied under SAP there is no need to inform CIC, only mailing address changes.

Thnx PMM! I did apply under SAP.

I guess i didn't read the AOR letter carefully

Notify only when
-the changing of address
-change of immigration representative
-request for withdrawal of application and fees
- submission of an arranged employment opinion

I guess this is all the scenarios that will require me to notify them before the processing starts?
