Sent my RFQ in October 2012
Received letter to write test on January 7, 2014.
Missed the exam as we did not get the letter to test until January 8, 2014.
The letter was dated to write exam was dated December 24, 2013.
They sent on Dec 24 , 2013. 3 stat days fell in this period. Plus all the winter nonsense. No mail.
What a joke the Feds are.
Received letter to write test on January 7, 2014.

Okay this is wierd. I called the call center and the rep said they have put a internal memo on Jan 7th to schedule me for an interview. At first she said I was supposed to write the test on Jan 7th but then later after confirming she comes back saying the letter was internal only.
My advise is for everyone who got the RQ and the notice to prepare for exam, to keep checking ecas and call the call center frequently to make sure to stay ahead of the test date and avoid mail delays.
ok so i called again and it seems like the other agent spilled out too much information! lol the agent says she cannot discuss the memo and its just for their internal use!

After receiving " Notice to Prepare for Citizenship test " letter from CIC on 23/12/2013
Today 16/01/2014 received the CIC letter to appear for Citizenship test date on 23th January 2014 at 8:15am
Therefore relax friends you all will soon get the test date.
My time line applied for Citizenship on April 2012
July 2012..........confirmation received with Citizenship test booklet
June 2013........Request form CIC Sydney to reconfirm and send all the address
July 2013........Received RQ
August 2013 .......Submitted RQ with lots of documents
December 2013..........Received Notice to Prepare for test
16/01/2014..............Date to appear for the Citizenship test on 23th January 2014 at 8:15 am in Montreal Citizenship office

OMG!!I am shaking rite now just checked by ecas. I Dont have if I should be happy or sad coz I am so busy with my school. Havent got any mail yet.Here is what it says
