Inland, no... I never got anything telling me it had been received... But that's why I sent my package registered mail, signature of who signed for it requested.

My understanding is that even Inland you won't get any acknowledgement from Mississauga that they have received your application and the only way to track that is through your delivery method.
The first you know is when you get your approval of sponsorship.
Your AOR comes when it is sent to your local Visa office.

I applied outland (to Mississauga) and did not receive an AOR (I don't think anybody does). But I know they got it because of the courier tracking number (it tells me the date/time our application was delivered, and who signed for it).
The only acknowledgment of receipt I got was from Buffalo to let me know our application was "in process" at their office.
