Notice of Assessment for recent taxation year???

I came to Canada four month ago and now sponsoring my son. I was told that usually Assessment for tax is done on Annual basis.
Can some one please advise me that what should I do for this.
Speically in a case, when I left my job and now looking for a new job.

If you are the only person sponsoring your son and there is no co-signer then you can write a letter of explanation, explaning that you have only been here for 4 months and now wish to sponsor your son.

The applications are pretty generic and standard. there may be cases where people are not able to provide all the requested documents. An explanation is always recommended.

My situation was same and with my spousal sponsorship application I sent an explanation.
