Notice of Assessment 2020 for Spousal Sponsorship

Hi,

I am a PR residing in Canada. Needing to sponsor my spouse residing back in India. For the sponsor, one of the documents required is the most recent Notice of Assessment. I have filed my taxes and is currently not assessed for 2020(will still take about 8 weeks). Could I provide Notice of Assessment for 2018,2019 instead ? What other financial documents would be required to support? Please advise.

Company letter as in the letter of employment ? And you mean 2020 right ? Not 2021. Would you know if anybody has submitted it like this ?

You could provide the previous NOA's, copy of pay statements for 2020 and a letter explaining you will forward the 2020 NOA when you get it, be sure to include the letter, people have had their apps returned for not providing it, maybe they will be OK with what you provide, no guarantees though. You must have just filed your 2020 taxes, there isn't a backlog in processing tax returns that I am aware of.
