Hello, I recently got a letter from CIC manila stating that my application for permanent residency is now being evaluated, that I can be awarded 63 points based on the credentials I submitted.

I am here now in canada on a working permit. will this status earn me additional points to to meet the minimum 67 points? i only got here 6 months ago.

They say i have to update them within 60 days, what happens after this ? does this mean that their decision is near? Thanks

You need to update your application and provide them the details and documents from your Employer in Canada, otherwise you need to take IELTS to add up to your point.

thanks drooza and len,
I have been thinking of taking the ielts but the nearest testing site is some hundred miles from where I am and not to mention the fee etc.. If i can get away with it and just provide CIC with info about my job here in canada, dont you think this will be enough? for at least 4 points to reach the 67??
