Just want to ask if that moratorium would likely affect even the SOWP applications? I have an ongoing application submitted last Dec 26 2013 online and now I'm entering the 5th month. Since my application is dependent on my husband's WP, who is a Food service supervisor, I am really worried what will happen to my application.

Maybe you're not affected coz you are in different application category. SOWP is not NOC,,,Right.?

Hi Ben, na receive ko na ang passport ko with visa yesterday pa ng hapon...pati ang POE ko..pero ang nkalagay sa expiry ng work permit ko is until 2014/12/16... na shock ako kung bakit less than one year lang...then nilagay sa letter na.. your study or work permit will be issued upon arrival..then I can work up to 48 months.

Hindi ko alam kung ang work permit na i issue pg dating ko sa alberta is 6 or 24 month bah...so ang mangyari is i renew ko yung permit ko 2 months before mg expire..naku naka ka stress na man ito..happy na ako na na receive ko ang visa.pero worry naman kung bakit less than 1 year lang...hope.my info dito na maka pg bigay.

Maybe CEM based it on the expiration of your passport.
If that so then, your work permit will be the same as your date of your visa expiration.
You have to apply for LMO and Visa/work permit.
You have to exit Canada again.

5 months at least before your visa expired you can process your work permit again inland Canada. (LMO takes time longer now.)
Don't stress about renewing your work permit in less than a year. Your visa is approved now. Its quit the same as those 2 years permit. Just a difference of a year only. Right?

You are right @disappointed10, I have one friend who arrives today in Saskatchewan and the Immigration let him pass through so I think if you have a working visa they will allow you to enter Canada.

hi Ironchef may I ask what is the work of your friend. coz many of us are worried that if we arrive at the poe. Immigration will not issue a work permit and may cause of sending us back to our country. pls advise thanks

It is so sad to see that you do not want to make the effort to publish your comments in English, because that way you would have more people who could share experiences similar to yours. There are 5 filipinos in my same job position in my workplace and 4 of them have failed in IELTS/CELPIP for that reason they could not send their application for pr, even they have 5 years working in Canada never wanted to stop communicating in Tagalog and therefore not practiced their English, today cannot apply anymore because the category and noc were deleted from the immigration program

wow that's a good news. Then why some people at poe under that category were not able to obtained working permit even they have working visa? so confusing
