Hello guys,

I am preparing my FSW application (NOC 2134). I have almost 100 photo copies to be included with the application. I am not sure if i have to attest all the photo copies from the notary public. I live in Holland and here it will cost me around 3000 Euro (30 euro per doc).
I hope somebody in the forum can help me out here.
The photo copies include following docs

passports (2)
Birth certificates (2)
Employment contract (10)
Salary Slips (60)
Work reference (4)
Educational Docs (20)

So do i have to attest all of these

Regards

1. Did you read the checklist? Note most documents are photocopies, not certified documents. Documents that are not in English/French require a certified translation.

Hello arbhatti77

As PMM already pointed out. If you have read the checklist carefully you will notice that only plain, black n white legible photocopies of most documents are required except ones that are not in English or French language.

I cant help wondering why you are submitting 60 salary slips. ( ??? !?!??!!) It is advisable to include only last salary slip from each employer. All that paper is not necessary as long as you have the proper reference letter. Trust me, you do not want to piss off the visa officer.

Best of luck

Thank you guys, its clear now,
about salary slips, they have mentioned that you can always add supporting documents, I had been working for three employees, and only one of them gave me the reference letter as per CIC requirement, so for the other ones i am attaching all what i have (contract, salary slips)

Now if i can take the liberty to ask one more question,

My passport is going to expire on Feb 15, 2104, As i am abroad, it takes a lot of time to get a new passport, and the quota for my skill is filling quickly. Checklist mention valid passport, it does not say that it has to be valid for at least some months. My questions is if they receive my application before Feb 16, 2014, then technically my passport will be valid at the time of receipt, but obviously it will expire by the time they will have a look on it, so will they accept it or return it ?

I am afraid if i wait for the new passport then then by that time the quota will fill :(

hope to see some replies

Yes you can add supporting documents but its not advisable to overdo it. Anyway... your application will be accepted with the current passport if it is valid by the time it reaches CIO. However, you are strongly advised to include a letter of explanation addressed to the visa officer assuring him/her that the new passport is under process and a copy will be forwarded when demanded.

Sir

Getting copies notarized is not required by any embassy , until asked.

I would suggest to enjoy your Euros 300/- rather than wasting them.
You need to send them first and most recent Salry slip , if you are with same employer from 5 years

Stay Blessed

Dear,

I have recently dispatched my application from India under the same NOC. I got the photocopies attested by an advocate/notary. The reason being, I had only 24 photocopies and I paid 10 rupees/copy which is cheap and affordable. Otherwise, getting an attestation from a notary (that too in Euros) is not at all mandatory from CIC's side.

Moreover, I have not provided any salary slip as my reference letter has got all that info about my 'earnings'. So, in case if you wish to provide a salary slip...I would recommend you to stick to only December 2013 salary slip. It will give an overall idea to CIC officials about how much you are earning. They would not require to know about your past salaries. Anyways, 'Proof of Funds' speaks about everything at last.

All the best.
