notarizing documents

I am going to notarize some documents that are in english but i am currently living in spain. On the website it specifies that the notary has to write ´I certify that this a true copy of the original document´.
My question is do I have to write this, as he probably doesnt know english. Can I get away with him just confirming they are copies of the orginal and stamping the documents and signing them.

Or the other option i guess is for me to print these words at the back of the documents and him sign and stamp it.

Any thoughts or suggestions. Thanks

did they say that they can't write it on the front? Is it okay to certify at the back of the document in Spain? if that is the case, go ahead and do that i suppose. Maybe you can stamp both the front and the back.

I had a US bank manager certify a document where the scrips were not even in English lol. I have no idea how he could have been sure that they were the same documents.

Actually I havent asked him yet, I was just thinking of ideas of how to get around this problem. So he has to stamp and sign at the front of the document. Thats ok. But will I get away with not writing the 'I certify that this is.....blah blah blah'.
